About
Located just south of the airport, Van Nuys Golf Course has a unique location that provides an air show with anything from WWII Warbirds to F16 Falcons. It can be loud occasionally, but it's also one of the most affordable rounds in the area. There are two golf courses available, an 18-hole par-3 course and a nine-hole executive course. Neither of the courses are terribly formidable, but it's a great spot for getting in some practice. It's ideal for beginners but golf enthusiasts of any skill level will appreciate that the facility stays open late and both golf courses and the driving range are equipped with lights. The Van Nuys par-3 course offers good short game practice. There are a few bunkers and some strategically placed palm trees, but it's a very user-friendly golf course overall. It's even gentle enough for juniors.

This course has so much potential!!
This course has so much potential. However, the owners have completely let the greens keepers down with no support. The mats haven't been changed out in at least 3 years, they are uneven and in terrible shape. The actual greens are random at best some aren't terrible but that isn't saying much. The "fairways" are absolutely horrible, you would have thought when the Covid 19 restrictions were in place we had hoped Ownership would have taken advantage of getting the "fairways" in some kind of shape. However it is difficult to find actual grass to hit off of. It's great that so many people have taken up golf however the staff isn't proactive in giving some simple golf etiquette.
1. You only get one mulligan per 9 holes,
No hitting 2 or more balls off the tee please.
2. Please be aware of Pace of Play.
3. Fix your divots!!
4. No Spectators Please, worse case don't have them walk on the greens with sandels on!
5. Please don't throw your cigarette butt's on the greens either!
Needs Help
The course is cheap and the greens are in oddly good shape. The rest of the course is mostly dirt. I think with care this place could be a fun spot for a quick bit of practice. It has a driving range that and is lighted so that’s a plus.
This course has great greens.
The greens on this course were in great shape. It was very busy on the day we went and the pace was slow. If we could have golfed a little quicker it would have been great but the first 5 holes averaged 20 minutes a hole. The turf tee boxes weren’t great but I got used to it. I would golf this course again.
Has potential
Booking a tee time online seems to be irrelevant here. Had a 7am time Sunday, had to wait behind four groups that said they just walked up. Didn’t tee off til about 7:30am. Course has potential with some tough tee shots and narrow greens. No frills. Range is decent.
Good course, especially for a beginner.
Decent assortment of par 3 and 4 holes that's still enjoyable for someone like me who only plays irons because he can't hit a driver straight.
Greens were in great shape. Fairways could use some work, but not unacceptable by any means.

Ever played a course so bad it got kind of depressing, not because it was hard to play but because it was so neglected?
Pace of play was great though because no one was there, even when every course in the area was booked solid. Wish I knew what everyone else in the area seemed to know.
Good for a cheap quick round
Not the nicest course in the world but if youre looking for something quick and cheap to challenge yourself then this would be a
Good course to do so.
