Woodley Lakes Golf Course

Course is dying. They haven’t watered much. May be a little for the greens at minimum. The rains haven’t been enough to help. No restaurant so they SOMETIMES have a food truck thing at the starter but that’s it. Compared to Encino on the other side, clearly the city didn’t care one bit about Woodley. The range here is trashed, the workers don’t care about the paying customers, they are rude and don’t want to help, doing bare minimum. And this is the only range with real grass, so you would think LA City would want to make it top notch, but nope, typical low end cheap muni treatment. But they’re happy to charge you the same as the other courses. Sad.

Hard to say whats going on here. This course used to be so much better. Food services, bar, well maintained. Now none of these exist. Looks worn down and sad.

It’s a great golf course. But at certain times of the day during sunset and about 3 holes you will be blinded by the sun. But other than that it’s a great no complaints. I missed my tee time and they allowed me to play right behind someone else.

I went to practice lowering my score and it was good.

I do wish they had lights so you can play at night.

Basic parkland course with wide open fairways. Flat greens and bunkers and lakes do not come in to play.

My dad flew in from out of state and was excited to golf with me. I told him not to bring his clubs that we would just rent them. We get there and they tell us they don’t have left handed rental clubs for adults. We would’ve just left but I had already paid in full through golf now so we were stuck. He had to rent junior clubs and they charged him full price to rent them. He couldn’t even use them because he’s 6’3” so he struggled to bend and try to golf all day. Awful experience.

Fun course and pace of play was fantastic
