Sapelo Hammock Golf Club

As a golf beginner, I don't know enough to write a truly critical golf course evaluation/ review. I do have over 30 years of Business and Sales experience that qualifies me to be both critical and analytical as I visit and play courses in my immediate area. I was very pleased with the staff and the grounds and the amenities at Sapelo Hammock and will return. The staff was both courteous and helpful on the the telephone and at the course. All little nuances were handled without any resistance. I look forward to returning to the course and area to play another few rounds.

This course is always in phenomenal shape. It is the true definition of a hidden gem. It is tucked away from any busy road and the sights that are to be seen are amazing.

Sweet as usual. This course never disappoints. I played Savannah Harbor the previous day. Fairways overseeded and hadn't been mowed in three weeks, cart path only and range under water and closed. When booked they didn't tell us . Little suspect... .. The next day played Sapelo, range was open, full play with cart not even a 90 degree rule, no standing water, fairways had roll, greens were true and the course was in Awesome shape. Love this place!!! Great finishing two holes especially when the sun is setting. Great customer service from Andy.

First off, Gary in the pro shop was super friendly and professional. The facilities were very clean and had that old south welcome home feel. I had the chicken salad sandwich for lunch and it was delightful. For $5 you can hit all the range balls you want!! Once out of the course there are spectacular views and the course was pristine from tee to green. I was golfing with one other person and unfortunately we got stuck behind a slow foursome for the first 5-6 holes. Luckily they let us play through at the turn. Other than that it was an awesome experience and I will definitely be making the trip back to Sapelo Hammock Golf Club!!

I like the course, its that time of year, fairways need reseeding, greens are in need of a little work but better than the fairways. Staff is always friendly. Carts are noisy.

Since it was our first time playing this course we did not know the layout. The 1st 7 holes were easier but rest (except par 3s) it blind shots from the tee box. That made it more difficult to place the ball. Other than that the course is beautiful. This is an old course that offers fantastic nature views of marshes. It was worth the long drive.

Wonderful course to play. Beautiful setting. Course was in great condition. Food is good. Good value for money.

Layout is very nice. The holes far enough away so you see very few golfers. Staff so friendly. Looks like the course had been wet and the crew was out catching up on mowing. There doing a great job. Definitely playing this course many more times.

Visiting from California. Great course in excellent condition. Fairways and greens were immaculate.

I loved it challenging BUT fair.

Love this course. I just think its not necessary to dye the greens it looks so fake. I feel it doesn't appeal to the natural look of the course. If so do not use it so much. Light rye overseed will be a much better look. Overall love the course.

Best course around. If this course were closer to a bigger city, it would be the best private course anywhere. Conditions are fantastic and views are unbelievable. I love this course.
