Great Round
Nobody in front of us and nobody behind us for the entire round that we began at 9:30 a.m. Staff was super friendly and it was a great overall experience.
Awesome Course
Great day of golf. !2:10 tee time for two. Course is well maintained and great layout for all levels of player. You won't find better course conditions for the price here! Loved it, definitely going back. I continue to be amazed at how friendly, helpful and professional the Pro Shop staff has been at check in.
Nice course
Interesting course.
First nine harder but more bieautiful than the last nine.
Greens and bunkers perfect.
To be visited
Good staff and layout
I enjoyed my round with friendly playing partners abs young man in the pro shop was very accommodating. Good pace and nice course. I heard it has been around since the 70s.
Can't go wrong
This is a very nice course. It's always a pleasure to golf here. Great chipping area. Never crowded. Greens and fairways are better than most. What's not to like? Thank you for allowing a limited number of non- members to play here as your guest.
Still a bit of rain in the air but fun round
Love this hidden gem of a course. They don't offer tee times to the general public very often but when they do it is worth it. Pace of play is always amazing as course is never over booked. course was a bit soggy from the previous days heavy rain and we got a little sprinkling during the back 9 but not to bad. course conditions were great and the greens were running pretty quick considering.
Well Worth It.
This is a private course. Allowing the public a few tee times is a great concept. I really like this course. It has a great chipping area. Something that other courses lack. The Tee box and fairways are in very good condition. The greens require a little more work. Not due to lack of care but more to fight off patches grass diseases. Not all greens are like this, just a few. Overall, this is a great course worthy of my return.
Horrible
The staff at this course has the craziest demands. If you go out as a single which I do a lot they said I’m not allowed to pass members even if the members say I can pass. They get upset if you skip a hole and go back and play it and sometimes I’ll play some holes after the round , mined you no one is around and not allowed to do that either. It’s a wonder Candlewood is hard up for members with theses crazy demands! I play like 4 or 5 times a month and now they have lost my business and like I said this place is hurting for members and I can see why! Good luck if you play here! I don’t like to say stuff like this but, the staff is a bunch of idiots!
Good shape and quick round
Played for 1st time. Played in 3 1/2 hours which is exceptional for SoCal. Greens were slow but overall in good shape. Would definitely play again. NOTE they only take GolfNow Tee times.
My 1000th Round of Golf
Today, November 13, 2019 I played my 1,000th round of golf. My 1st round was on October 29, 1993 at the Mountain View Golf Course (now closed). This picture is with my golf buddies who I played many round with (but not all 1,000)
Congrats! Thanks for sharing with us. We posted on Twitter.
Challenging Course
Great course with lots of trees and hills. Very challenging playing the first time from the blue tees.
Nice course
Course was nice. Looks like they had punched the greens about 2-3 weeks prior so they were running pretty quick. Fairways were nice and green. Range is short though, only about 220 yards.
Great Day!
Great pace of play, Never had to wait. Finished in about 3 hours.
Course in good condition, except one hole (7) which is under some construction.
Fun day at Candlewood.
Aeration
Got to course to find out by management, the course was being arearated, except able. Didn't play due to this condition. Have attempted to contact Golfnow for tefund.
I'm sorry you feel this way about our course. Yes, our course course is a bit demanding with its rules and regulations, but we do strive to give both members and guests a private club experience. We do not appreciate members and guests who fail to check in after completing their first 18 holes before deciding to go back out and play extra holes. It's not only poor etiquette, but also a liability concern. Majority of the times all golfers will be required to start on hole #1 unless the pro shop mentions otherwise. We do encourage all golfers to ask faster groups to play through if a gap is front of them. As YOU have stated, "...I'll play some holes after the round" regardless if there is no other golfers around. In the tee time you paid for on golfnow. It is for 18 holes holes. Nowhere on golfnow does it mention your paying 19+ holes. So by definition you are playing those extra holes for FREE, and therefor stealing from Candlewood.
