Candlewood Country Club

The course is in nice shape, the front nine much better than the back. Played in under 4 hours but we did skip 2 holes to move ahead of slower groups. We were, of course, just guests at the club, and members (much older) should be able to play at their own pace so I shouldn’t complain.

GolfNow had a nice deal and would definitely play here again.

This might be my best favorite course! The views were awesome; the greens were perfect; the course was little bit challenging, yet fair. Pro shop people were really good.

When you first look at the scorecard at Candlewood it seems pretty short and probably not too much of a challenge and you’d be right, it isn’t a long course but to call Candlewood not much of a challenge is far from accurate. Your tee shots need to be accurate, there are some tight fairways and the large pine trees and rough are waiting for you. Let’s be clear the green complexes at this place are legit, they defend this course extremely well. The greens are well designed, manicured and the two times I’ve visited they’ve been fast (rolling at maybe a 10 or 11) You need to think carefully about where you leave your approach shot to not end up 3 putting or worse! The shop staff are always really friendly and the practice facilities are top notch, ignore the practice putting green at your peril! I highly recommend Candlewood and will look forward to my next visit. Simon (hcap 3)

It was a nice surprise to find a hide away course in the city. We played like a private club member with no one in front or back. Nicely maintained, quick green, I love it!

I was able to book an afternoon tee time on GolfNow and experience the Country Club Life. I walked all 18 holes in 3 hours and 10 min. Played the first 14 holes with a member and he was awesome! The last 4 I played by myself. The course is short and tight. The greens were pure. I'll be trying to back on soon.

Really nice private course with a great staff and nice amenities. Narrow and tricky with some really interesting and challenging holes.

The course was a lot of fun and was beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone .

Besides the greens being punched a couple weeks back, the course was in very good condition. I highly recommend playing it if you get a chance.

I've been a member of Candlewood for just over a year now and can't say enough good things. As far as country clubs go, you'll be hard pressed to find better value anywhere. The course? Not the longest but a great mix of fun and challenging holes that are kept in great condition. The greens are solid and in great condition year round. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Whether you looking to join or just to grab a Golfnow tee time, give Candlewood a try and I'm sure you'll be more than happy.
