Candlewood Country Club

This track is great. The greens were perfect rolling straight and fast. The staff was equally attentive and helpful.

It’s always a fun time playing Candlewood. The staff, both in the pro shop and the maintenance staff on the course , are very friendly. Course conditions are great including fairways and greens. They space out groups so you are never waiting. Definitely one of my favorite courses in Southern Cal.

Overall a decent place to play. Challenging layout. Fairways with some bare spots and front 9 cart paths could use some works. Bunkers firm.

Best part were greens which even though recently aerated, rolled well.

I have seen Candlewood on my tee time app for a few years now and always hesitated to go. For some reason I thought it was an executive course because the way it was presented on the App. Well Candlewood was a big surprise! Awesome day on the links. It’s a private course that allows play on Monday’s.

The layout was fantastic. The greens were fast but true. Pace of play? We played in 3 1/2 hours and that’s time looking for balls. It is tight off many tees. Part of the solid slope rating along with mostly elevated greens.

Go to Candlewood you will enjoy the round.

Totally worth the cash but make sure you’re hitting it straight otherwise it’s going to be a loooong day. Greens are lightning quick too but role true.

The group of us decided to play an afternoon round, the weather was hot and sticky. Course conditions were very good but would have been better if people would fix their ball marks on the greens. It was disappointing to see the amount of un-fixed divots on the greens. Pace of play was spot on and we finished in just about 4 hours. We really like this course and wish it was open tho the public more often.

Had a great time playing this course. Not over crowded on a Saturday, finished the round in 4 hrs. 15 min. Jacob, in the Pro Shop, was great. Telling us the layout of the course, and making sure we had what we needed to have a great round. We will definitely be back.

Mondays are open to public and that's when I play!

Nice tee boxes, fairways are all getable and greens roll pure and fast.

I love playing here when I have a Monday open to play.

Wrote a review earlier but for some reason it didn't get posted. Course was in good condition and the one staff member was friendly but I just absolutely HATE courses that are so poorly laid out. The greens and tee boxes of almost every hole are just so close to each other that it leaves groups exposed to being hit by any shot near the green. We were ducking all round and it got to the point where we just wanted to quit because we didn't want to get hit. If you are familiar with San Dimas Canyon then you can imagine how this course plays but not quite as bad.

This course reminds me of that hackers paradise course San Dimas Canyon. I absolutely HATE courses that are so poorly conceived and leaves you, more times than not, exposed to errant shots from other holes while you are standing on the tee box ready to go. We were ducking behind whatever we could find for a majority of our round and ended up just not wanting to be there anymore because balls were flying every which way around us. Just a poorly designed course that attracts the worst kinds of hacks.
