Foothills Golf Course - Championship 18 Course
About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Lots to offer
This course has a lot, depending on your time. The par 3 is great to practice the short game. The executive course is fun for 9 holes, and the championship course has yardage, views and wildlife! Love the value.
Good course
Was surprised with this course. It was in very good shape and the greens rolled great. Played from the back tees so some of the holes were fairly tough. No quirkiness to the course. Pretty forgiving around the greens. But I would recommend this course. Only bad thing was it got really backed up on about #6 but I did play it on a saturday afternoon. Back nine went much quicker. Cool "old school" clubhouse/restaurant as well.
Nice course. I'll be back.
Definitely a challenge ifs you've never played here before. Interesting hole layouts make it a fun course to take on. Course knowledge is critical to a good score. I'll definitely be back for more.
Great value
Early in the season and the course was in great condition. Saw a roaming coyote 15' from us, plus a roost of what looked like 6 golden eagles just to the South of hole #2. Great time.
A Fun Round
Weather was great, course conditions were outstanding! Challenging course that offers a bit for every level. Plenty of water and sand to keep you honest. Good cart service and the restaurant bar had a good selection with Dogs and Brats ready at the turn!
I would consider this a player friendly course and perfect for a 20 handicapper like myself!
Bad Course
Paid $63 to ride, there are better courses for the money in the metro area.
Play is always slow and nothing is every done about it.
Had to quit one round when we drove up to 4th tee box and 4 groups were waiting to tee off. Spend your money somewhere else.
Wait a month or two before playing
They had just aerated and the greens were in very rough shape. They really need some tlc to bring this course back
Great Public Course
Foothills Golf course is a great facility with 3 different courses (Par 3, Executive, and Championship). Course was still in good condition even in late November. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Local favorite for good golf
Everything at Foothills is above par !!
GOLF ADDICT
Since discovering GolfNow, I am able to afford rounds of golf to improve my game. Love the sport, especially playing the long courses. I definitely recommend Foothills golf course.
Great metro area golf course
Great value, good course and great staff that does a good job of maintaining pace of play which is hard to find around town these days.
Uncaring players
The course was in as good of shape that I've seen in quite a long time. BIG problem is, The lack of care/knowledge/etiquette from the other players on the course. Right off the bat on the first hole, the fairway was FULL of unplaced/unrepaired divots and when we got to the green, the green was basically unplayable due to all of the unrepaired ball marks and obvious feet draggers and such. It was actually PATHETIC to know that many golfers out there were so freaking rude to walk off of a green and not repair ONE SINGLE ball mark.
If this goes to the course at all . . . They need to do something to address this issue, because as it is, I won't be playing Foothills again any time soon. I've played this course for over 40 years now. For the time being, this will be my last time on this golf course, PERIOD !!!
Regards,
Mike Burns
Nice course, way over priced!
Foothills is in great shape, greens, fairway and rough all were well kept. The pace was below average and it's not worth $60. I can play much much nicer courses for that rate
Foothills Great Beginner Course
The fairways and greens almost felt fake they were in such great shape. Not a lot of challenges. The staff were aloof and unhelpful.
Nice fun course.
I forgot what a fun course this is and got a great deal on Golf now. Course is in great condition with lots of different birds around. Birdies for me not so mush.
They don’t have a $63.00 rate and never have. I think you have the wrong course? Foothills is an outstanding golf course !
