Foothills Golf Course - Championship 18 Course
About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Great course at a good price
This is a fun course that will challenge you but not kill the high handicap player either. Nice old cozy clubhouse and everyone is friendly. I still be back
Great end of season!
Calm before the storm. Greens are starting to go into winter mode, but rest of course is in fantastic shape. Played with a couple youngsters who can really hit the ball. They said they enjoyed the course as well. I enjoy the variety of the holes that the course offers. You have to think you way around, and position for your approach shots.
Mike in the pro shop is a great friendly and knowledgable person. I'm glad Foothills partners with Golf Now as I enjoy this facility as much as any in the area. And with Golf Now the value is one of the best.
Great Course
Great Course for the price. Fairways were in great shape as were the greens. Pace of play was fast. Enjoy playing this course every time.
Great Course
Got a great deal on Golf Now and decided to take a drive to this course, and loved it! Nicely maintained, great views, fast greens, just forgot to bring my golf game :)
Horrible Greens
Tee box and fairways in good shape. The greens were recently punched, which is fine. However, very bumpy and uneven like someone ran over them with a tractor.
Classic course Awsome
Only thing was that the greens were aerate a week earlier so you Could'nt get a true roll.on Your Putts. Other then that great Dick phelps desighn
I had a great time
Foothills Golf Course is always a blast. 3 different courses and all three of them perfect!
Challenging course
Fun course for all skill levels. Love that shorter hitters still can enjoy a nice round.
sub-par course
Rate of play was atrocious -- 4 sets of cart players waiting behind walkers is ridiculous. This is poor organization. Cigarette butts all over the greens and tee boxes! Unfriendly customer service in the pro shop- no "thanks for playing the course- hopefully we'll see you again" was the closer on never seeing me back. Only redeeming quality was the very nice lady who was on a cart selling drinks on the course- she should be promoted!
Allowed 5 to play in front of us.
Nice course, decent conditions, but the starter allowed a group of five to play in front of us. Waited on every shot, spoke to the surly ranger and nothing was done. Just skipped in front of them had a decent time.
Great Course
Great course. The executive 9 could use a little better upkeep but overall a fine place to play.
Men's tournament in morning spoils day for everone.
First 3 holes in one hour! Four groups waited my at 4 th hole. Apparently the men's club doesn't understand pace of play. Half the groups bailed at 9. And the marshal had the nerve to try punching us on fasted on the back 9. Yes it's a mini on a Saturday, but 3+ hours on the front? And apparently that's the norm for tournament days. No thanks.
For the $ an AMAZING value!
The GolfNow deal that we got was outstanding! $34 for 18 holes and a cart. We teed off at 650am , which was perfect because it really warmed up towards the end of the round. The course was in excellent shape Greens ran true and were a tad fast, but that was ok.
Breakfast burrito was outstanding, but the salad and sandwich were just ok. Clubhouse and proshop staff were super friendly but the starter/marshall was a bit of a grump. He jumped all over us at the turn for slow play, but we played the front in 2:15 and let two 2-somes play through. They started a 2 some in front of us and had at least two 2 somes behind us.
Tired greens, overcrowded
Lots of old, crotchety, obnoxious men here for the earlier rounds - act like they own the place. Practice green was miserable. Friendly clubhouse staff. Greens where like playing to sponges & need major attention. Short - even the tips on the 'championship' course were under 7k yards. Nice fairways and well-maintained bunkers. Good elevation & distance on front 9. Cart service doesn't have much. Overall not bad and actually exceeded expectations
Coure is Fun!
The course was fun and has some tricky shots that a First timer might find intimidating but ready for 2nd round!
Challenging
The greens were in horrible shape.
Divot marks and holes everywhere.
In serious need of upkeep.
Nice Course
Good Course, not very difficult but can punish you easily. A little blind on few tee's, will be more fun next time! Will likely go again!
Slow Play, but nice course!
We really enjoyed our round and the price was right. Extremely slow play, and yes they have marshals but the group that was slow did not seem to be addressed. The round took 5 hours and 20 so it was about an hour longer than expected. Friendly staff in the club house.
Foothills raincheck
Unfortunately there were no power carts due to the rainfall. We got thru 9 holes and the weather became terrible. The pro shop said we can get a rain check for 9 holes thru golfnow.com. I played that course several times and enjoy playing it.
disappointing
I had played the course a few times and was impressed by how the seniors played the executive course and par 3 and faster players played the championship course. HOWEVER...my last trip had me playing a couple groups behind 3 ladies on the championship course who hit it 30 yds, chatted for a minute and repeated the same. The marshall showed up about 2 hrs later when we were on # 7 but was content to ride through the rough and not do his job. At one point he drove near us but wisely chose to not say anything about the slow play. Needless to say after hitting, then waiting 10 minutes to hit again I chose to get a rain check after 9 holes and leave. 2.5 hrs for 9 holes was just too much. Hope it improves when I go back or they will lose my future business
