One and done
As a whole, I would say that our group was pretty dissappointed although the cost of golf was very reasonable.
Scorecards have little room and are poorly laid out for any kind of matches/games played within the group.
Approx. 700 total yrds between the II and the III tees....arguably the two most popular tees. They need a combo tee on the scorecard.
Too many blind shots, severe doglegs where one is way better off to drive head to see all the danger (waste areas, water, etc...).
Some holes have you stop and wait until the group ahead has teed off and driven by you....literally some unsafe holes.
Course condition was fine and greens rolled nicely.
New Course, but fun to play and nice staff
I have waited to play, but wish I hadn't waited. The course is challenging, but fair. The layout was interesting with some blind shots, but play more often to know where to hit. Overall, the pace of play was good, the course was in very good shape for its 2nd year, the greens rolled true. The staff was friendly, provided some insight, and looking forward to improved amenities. Good value and will not disappoint.
Old Hoosiers
Great day on the links. My wife and I enjoyed playing with Andy and Ed thanks guys
Greens were awesome . A couple of funky holes . Over all good round ..
Odd Layout - Under Construction
Fun course to play because you can’t bully it and to have to hit good golf shots. Their is a ton of residential construction and they haven’t built a cart barn or clubhouse but the golf course is nice and fun to play.
Play it in the off season
The course has a good layout. Greens are fast and roll true. Like most courses, it’s a bit treacherous if you’re above the pin. The fairways and rough needs a few more years to fill in, but for being 1 year old, it’s not bad. I was only in a couple bunkers, but they seemed consistent. I enjoyed the round.
We paid $75 to play, including cart. A fair price. I would not pay the prime season rate of $150, but a lot of people do. I’d like to play it again, and probably will before the rates go up. Once that happens, I’ll play with friends in the Punta Gorda area, or some of the tracks near Sarasota. I’m here to escape the cold and swat the pill a couple times per week - that’s it.
Review
The course is as fun to play and in great shape. I’m looking forward to playing it again.
I’m not sure what you mean by off-course amenities.
Great greens
Not very hard. A free nice holes. Great shape for being so new
Excellent Condition
Tees, fairways, and greens are excellent. Just a modular unit for a clubhouse right now. Nice ,very playable course.
Great day
Course is in good shape overall. Just wished people would repair their divots and ball marks
Worst Experience
There were no bathrooms other than porta-potty’s. The restroom facilities were closed with the exception of one that smelled like a cesspool. Disgusting!
Pace of play was so slow, waiting for every shot. We were paired with two teenagers that were so bored waiting, they started clowning around after every shot. Since we were waiting we got to watch the 4-some in front of us. At least 8-10 tee shots were sent from each tee box. I am certain that their average score must have been around 150. I complained to the starter at the turn and he basically said he couldn’t fix it. They need a Ranger that can move things along.
I would sacrifice the extra folks at the bag drop and the pro-shop and use a Ranger.
This place has gotten worse since it first opened. Extremely disappointed!
