Great course great conditions
The course is a good value now that golf season is over in Florida
Course is in great shape
Love the course which is in great shape compared to other area courses. Only issue we had was being behind 4 drunks who thought they should play from the tips and then sit around and talk on every hole. They even had the beverage cart stop while on the 18th fareway; apparently they couldn't make it to the clubhouse without another drink.
Tee boxes
Terrible tee box positioning. Several boxes were in dangerous positions.
Day at WP
This is a good course if you can find a GN deal. Like most area courses, they rip your eyes out during the “season”, but if you catch it pre/post discounted rate it’s one to try. The facility is nice with driving, chipping, and putting practice areas, for pre round warm up, which includes complementary balls!
On this outing, the greens were quick and fairways and tee boxes well maintained. The layout is a bit squirrelly, given it weaves through a community under construction, and should be re-thought once all construction is completed. All in all a great spot if you can get a good deal.
Excellent Course
Played the course for the 2nd time in 2 years. Always in great shape. Greens are very fast but rolled true. Course requires you to think, not simply grip-and-rip. Make sure to stay below the hole.
I won’t return
I was very much looking forward to my round at Welland Park. We had an afternoon teetime, a good group of players. The price seemed reasonable.
It was a a good practice facility hitting to island greens over a man-made lake.
Once on the course, that’s when things deteriorated. The course was in good enough condition. The greens were good.
The problem with the course, is from the Teebox and we played from the 2 box and the 3 box. The view from the teebox is horrendous. I’m not sure how many holes we had to hit over a man-made lake. You had condos right up against the fairway. There was very little room to place your drive. The view from the Teebox was one of the worst I’ve seen and I’ve played over 250 different courses. For one will not return even if they paid me to play.
18 at Wellen
Greens were faster than anything I’ve played recently, they rolled them 2x the day prior. Overall conditions were great considering the drought in FL.
Getting around between holes was different bc of barriers for current home construction and dust from heavy equipment.
The price was higher than I would care to pay but booked through GN so that helped. Shooting 87 on a new course was fantastic for me bc I would have been happy to shoot in the 90’s. 👍

Checked in online so not much staff interaction, nice layout very well kept compared to other area courses!
Nice place to play
It was a nice course to play. The greens were hard and hard to hold. The pace of play was okay.The of course, facilities are nice as well
Wellen Park
This is a nice facility and staff was friendly. I went to practice Saturday and to do some recon and came away pleased, it was very busy but the conditions were good. Came back the next day to play and the place is good, i would come back here in a heartbeat. The layout of the course is one that cannot be digested in one outing, it would take a few times to figure out the lines. This is a HUGE community and will require more courses. I would come back.
