Golfer Reviews
Go elsewhere
This course is one of the worst near Sarasota. Overcrowded, Unorganized. No GPS. Fairways lined up parallel to one another. $53M of taxpayer dollars wasted. Never again.
Not worth the money. Lots of better courses in the area for less.
Flooded everywhere. Driving Range is almost requiring uber service to get there from the parking lot. Not enough time between 4 somes. Backed up all day.
Bobby Jones 8/29
It is a course under re-construction, I guess. The tee boxes, fairways and greens, were in good condition. The cart paths and rough areas were really rough. Not really worth the $70 its a mediocre course. It's a $45 course currently.
Avoid This Course After It Has Rained
course stays wet for days .. it was cart path only on all 9 front holes and the course was so wet they should have repeated the back 9 twice.. greens are in ok but not top condition as others in the area .. it was great the way it was before with two courses to choose from .. also new Swami GPS does not recognize the course .. have to choose back of American or British but even then yardages are not correct
Don’t waste your money,
Rude woman at check-in…only to discover a horrible track to follow. Slow play and really rough greens conditions. Sarasota needs to rethink the money they blew on the revamp.
Oh! You actually call that a pro shop? A dank trailer with zero appeal is what I saw. Pretty gross.
Fun course in good shape
The course was in good shape and I thought the greens were great… good speed and rolled true. It’s pretty open so there are more challenging courses out there but still a lot of fun and a good value overall.
Not worth the money spent
Course was very wet
Was not told when booked that only 9 holes could be played (twice)
Some of the greens were recently repaired on front 9 and ball had to be moved to avoid te repairs
Bobby Jones
Bobby Jones golf course has a great layout, really nice practice facility, and is in excellent condition! Especially, for a municipal course and the value this time of year! The staff is always friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Bobby Jones!!!
Enjoyed
Great course for the $. Great junior tees as well. Will play again.

Really nice course to play for the money. Greens rolled really good and fairway grass was nice. Would play again and again.
Decent course,
Compared to the prices of other courses this is a nice wide open course with decent greens and a beautiful cart girl. What else do you want from a round of golf? 😊👍
The WORST ever!
Nasty experience. The rudest person at the desk and what a waste of money on that course. Please let someone know that the trailer they call a pro shop smells to high heaven. Felt like I had that stink following me the rest of the day too.
Won’t be back.
Quel dommage
A déconseiller
Wet when I played, but a good Ross layout.
The course had gotten about two inches of rain in the previous 36 hours, so it was wet and path only. That was the only negative. Nice layout, could use a little TLC, but if you play the original Ross layout that is listed on the scorecard, I bet it makes for a great challenge.
Call first
Should have called first. Greens had been recently aerated and were covered with sand as well. Can’t do much about the standing water from the thunderstorms the night before but I find it a bit unfair to charge $80 per round when the greens are practically unplayable from aeration and sand. I’m all for maintenance of the property but management should either post notice of greens aerations or discount the green fees. Not a good experience.
