Great Golf and tennis facility.
Well maintained and staffed.
Good time, but slow play and extremely wet
Course was good, just very wet considering no rain in a few days - lots of mud balls! Once of play an issue with no Marshall. Front 9 in 1:20, back in 2:25 due to three some 3 groups ahead. Only real negative of the day
Great Outing
Relatives came to town and was able to get out and play Saddlebrook, got a great rate on Golfnow. Course was in very good shape, greens were a bit slow. Pace of play was excellent, played the round in less than four hours.
Palmer Course, Saddlebrook
Played this course today for the first time. Absolutely loved it. The greens were a little slow but other than that it was awesome. Logan in the pro shop was very friendly & professional. Can’t wait to go back.
Great course, but condition could be better
I actually like the layout of the Saddlbrook course better than the Palmer. Tee boxes and fairways were in excellent condition, but greens are pretty rough. Rained all night and part of the way through my round so course was a bit soggy. Although, not as bad as I expected. Proshop guy offered for me to play the Palmer course for the lower price of the Saddlbrook, but I was set to try it out and happy I did.
Resort Course
Such a fun layout... but you better know where and when to hit driver. Bunkers, tee boxes and fairways were good. Greens need some work, but didn’t effect putts that I had. Really hit some juicy wedges in close and only 3 putted “if I needed to.” I owned the par 3’s today. The post round cigar and Hamburger tasted oh so good after a 6 net 5 on 18 after bailing out on a hybrid and dumping it into the pond in front of 18. Cart girls are cool here. I’ll be back next time I’m in Pasco County.
excellent layout and challenging greens
Course layout was your typical resort model. Greens were very undulating but were very slow around 6 so a miss on the high side was not punishing. I would play it again but from the Blue tees I hit a lot of sand wedges and 9 irons. A few greens were hour glass shape with the pin in the middle a real challenge.
Fun course
This is during Covid Pandemic, The course was in good condition, greens were good. The course was very wet, but overall I felt the resort is putting money into the course and making maintainence a priority during a very difficult time. It is a fun, if quirky layout. The effect of the pandemic is apparent on this once thriving resort, however, they are really trying to do what they can to make it through. If you plan on playing, be sure to allow extra time for parking and practice as the range, parking and course are all very spread out and you will need to allow time to shuttle from one to the other.
A must play
This is a course (and the Palmer course)that when I’m the Tampa area you have to make time to play both.Staff are very friendly and most helpful . You just need to play and enjoy both courses
Great bang for the buck
My daughter and I played a round at the Palmer Course getting her ready for a junior golf event. A hurricane had come through the day before and dumped a lot of rain. The course was in pretty good shape despite the rain. We played in under four hours with cart paths only. The front nine was much more difficult than the back. Would definitely play here again.
How were the practice facilities there? On the range could you hit off turf, or only mats?
