Course is in nice shape and the greens rolled very nicely
Outstanding
Laurel is always in top shape, absolutely beautiful course. Their staff is top notch.
Surprised
Based on rates in the area (within 20 miles) this course was in excellent shape. Signage could be better.
Really great with tons of potential.
I really like the place, they're putting time and money into clubhouse renovations and the course. It can be a challenging course if played from the tips or blues, even the whites on some holes. The greens could use some work, and it appears they are putting time into them. Overall, a nice course.
I don't understand all of the negative reviews about this golf course. I thought it was in nice shape and the greens rolled well. They are renovating the club house, and the food afterwards was very good. I will be back.
On the cusp of being VERY good...
This golf course is SO close to being very good......some tee boxes very beat up, same with a few of the greens. The fairways were a little long in spots as well.....it just needs a little more love, and a little less rain to be a 5 star spot. Too many very wet low spots not to mention.....good times tho.....worth going back....
Poor Course Condition
This course is in terrible shape. Particularly the greens, either they have a fungus or something that is making the greens to go bare. A couple of them down to the sand. The greens had worm holes that left little mud hills to putt through. This course in its current condition isn't worth playing for $10 a round. The layout is great! The cost at $66 and change is robbery. We drove 50 minutes to play this course. Such a huge dissapointment. .
Summer golf
I would play this course again. For the price it would have been nice if range balls were included but not the end of the world.
8/16 greens were in rough shape, but not unplayable. Multiple bare spots and burnt ground.
Tee boxes and fairways were well maintained.
Club house prices were highly inflated.
They do have water coolers throughout the course and that appreciated.
I look forward to playing here again in the cooler months.
Improving
The course is getting back to the shape I was used to seeing it in. The pace was a little slow today.
Good but should be cheaper.
Have played this course twice now both times course is in just okay shape not great. Staff friendliness was truly 50/50 between people that cared or did not and it unfortunately showed. Overall had a great time with my Girlfriend but would not send a serious golfer there unless they wanted to play in two hours and did not care about not so great greens.
Course is in great shape. A few greens were sketchy but overall course was beautiful shape. Everyone has trouble with greens this time of year.
Greens need alot of work
Staff is super friendly, but greens are in brutal shape. They just punched but that wasn’t the issue. Just a ton of dead areas with all dirt. Fairways are good but the greens make it tough.
Aerated
The course itself was good, but I have a policy. No course gets anything higher than 2 stars, if you are charging full price and not telling people the greens were recently aerated. Now, aeration is a necessary aspect of golf to maintain green health, that was not the issue. But be forthright about and let us know when we are booking.
