Peacock Gap Golf Club
About
Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

5.5 hours for 18 holes
This course is always slow because they pack tee times too close together and marshaling is nonexistent. Plan on 4.5 hours minimum. But this day was next-level -- we started on time at 1:30 and ended at 7:00, waiting on every single hole. Twosome with us left after 14 holes to get home before dark. Other groups bailed on last several holes, opting to replay initial holes so they could at least get some golf in.
Great course and fun times!
Paired up with a couple of nice guys. It was a good round for me. Definitely will come back!
Great time!
Second time playing the course with my buddy Danny. This time we got paired with a couple of nice guys. Always a great time playing this course. We’ll definitely come back!
Chamber of commerce day!
Wow..did I get lucky. The weather was great low 70's and very little wind. The course was in great shape. This is a must play for anyone wanting to play in Marin County.
more of a challenge
Despite being a flat course, it was challenging with a few elevated greens that were pretty undulated, but fair, and bunkers on both sides of landing areas. Some longer holes were dog legged which added to add to the challenge. Enjoyable and I will return.
Please fix the &@“$)&i cart electronics
Course and staff are fine. Cart screens are godawful. At least 5 times per round, the cart will lock out without warning (unless it is on the screen, which I would not see because I look ahead while driving) and force me to reverse in order to get to what it thinks is an acceptable area of the course, using criteria I cannot comprehend—even if at that moment I am driving directly toward (and sometimes on) the cart path. Loud, annoying, embarrassing, pointless. They updated the hardware but the geofencing is still way out of whack. Also super annoying are the constant restaurant ads and pace nagging. 5-hour rounds are the norm here, with marshals virtually nonexistent. We are always waiting for the group ahead, yet we must still endlessly swipe away pace warnings to see yardage. If it’s too hard to fix the geofencing and pace warnings, ditch them. You might be able to measure the occasional cart trespass, but can you measure the bad will that the current system creates in your customers? A human who delivered this kind of customer experience would be fired instantly.
