Course
Good course for the money, for sure. People gotta fix pitch marks on greens and replace divots though. Way too many, but that’s on the players, not the staff
Great day with my son
My son and I played in the rain behind a tournament group. Play was extremely slow and with the rain there was no one behind us. We hooked up with a third and played holes one through three a couple of times. We then went onto the next holes. We played fourteen holes in the rain and had an absolutely great time. Nothing like family and golf.
Not Worth It
This course is run very poorly, overall the pace of play was extremely slow and backed up. At multiple times throughout the round there were 3 groups all waiting at the tee’s. On top of this, the course was sopping wet and should not have been played on. The greens are extremely bumpy and unpredictable due to the lack of maintenance. It’s a cool course layout, but just in miserable conditions. Save your money, play elsewhere for the same price.
A good play course
The staff were friendly and I liked how there is a practice facility with chipping and putting area. The course conditions were nicer than I had expected. There were some fairways backing into people's home so that was a tad nerve wrecking but otherwise it was very playable.
Thanks for your feedback, u314163667128! We're glad you enjoyed our friendly staff and practice facilities. We appreciate your insights about the fairways and will keep them in mind as we strive to enhance our course experience. Hope to see you back out on the greens soon!
It was packed and played 12 hole only.
Due to forest delay, it was packed and only be able to play played 12 hole.
Thanks for your feedback, Eturhal! We appreciate your understanding regarding the delay. We're glad you could still enjoy some of the course. We’re working to improve the experience for all our guests and hope to see you back soon for a full round!
Spend time on the tee box
Course was in great shape. Tee boxes definitely need some TLC lots of mud
Needs some work
The course overall was a good experience. The length was competitive and well designed. However, the course has many areas around the greens that are hardpan earth with dry spots. The sand traps are better than the past but still very firm. I will play again soon but hope the winter will improve the condition of grass and greens.
Hi Clayjeha, we’re truly sorry to hear about your experience. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re actively working to address the pace of play and course conditions. I would like to point out that you played on a holiday week with 200 other golfers, and with weather conditions our maintenance crew cannot provide their normal care to greens under wet conditions, typically our greens are the best they have ever been and we recently recut them to their original size during our November aeration so that edge grass just needs some time to grow in fully. If you return in the coming weeks after the storms have passed you will see San Ramon GC at its full potential. We appreciate your insights and hope to provide a much better experience in the future. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
