Thank you playing San Ramon. We are sorry that your experience was anything short of 5-stars. We hope upon your next visit, we may earn those last two stars.
Thank you for leaving a 4-star review! Please come out and play again soon!
Kids Class
I wasn’t informed of Kids Classes being taught at 1:00 and our foursome had a tee time behind the kids. Our first 7 holes took almost 3 hours. Horribly frustrating and the management did nothing to help the pace of play or compensate us for our inconvenience.
Hello, this is our weekly Nike Junior camp. Our Nike instructors are to keep pace with the rest of play. We did check on this and they did play in just over 2 hours. Our head professional is sorry he missed you after your round. We hope you will try us again in the future.
Marshall
Course is in ok shape…..felt like the Marshall pressed us for no reason except we are 4 women players. The group behind us was never waiting and the group in front of us was playing a good round. The green fees are the same so treat us the same.
good course
good course. hope they take better care of the green. too many divot marks.
A quietly strong layout
Of the courses in the area, San Ramon isn’t where you’d go for manicured, criss-crossed fairways, but it’s a course with quietly strong layout.
The good:
While their greens may have a few more ballmarks than some of the other courses in the area, they’ve done a great job and they’re rolling better than most.
They’ve recently resanded the bunkers. They’re probably the best on the 680 corridor right now as far as public courses go. (Summer 2021)
While it’s a relatively straight forward layout, there’s enough variety and risk/reward and the more I play this course, the more I appreciate how strong they layout actually is.
The rough:
Part of me is just getting old, but you used to be able to play this course really inexpensively - especially midweek or late afternoon. Whether the pandemic or other market forces, it’s gotten expensive comparatively. It’s an amazing $35-40 course. I feel taken advantage of if paying $60-70.
Feedback for app
prepayment of some of the green fees is not ideal, you end up paying more for making the reservation compared to foursome. Also, walking options should be more Available
Pace of play
Marshall no where to be found, 4 some in front of us shotgunned a beer every hole and reshot 3 times as we sat watching in front of a par 3. Played this course before and enjoyed it but for 80$ this is a bit ridiculous
Thank you for the 4-star review!
