Worth a play
The first time I played this course I didn’t like it. Couldn’t tell you why it was so long ago. Went back and played it on a rainy day and this course is awesome. Some reviews are just not fair. Trash pile by 7th green?! It’a not trash I played outta it. Pro shop might be a little outdated but I like the feeling of these style clubhouses. Amazing greens, above avg fairways, tee boxes could use a little help but who’s doesn’t? Our pace was great might be slower on other days. Docking a star bc $32 for two riders on a cart is INSANE and no logo balls for my ball case. Will be back though!

Play Elsewhere
Conditions are below average , course is unkept. Pro shop is empty , looks like they are about to close permanently. Need new operations

A bad day for San Ramon Golf Club
A fairly poor experience today:
- Upon arrival at 10:45am, check in door at a "Be back in 30 minutes" sign. Really? Finally, the lone-staff member who is checking in and managing start times shows up. The delayed start times due to early AM frost didn't help the situation. Thus, tee times and pair groups were a mess . The Course Marshal came by at one point...but he couldn't do anything and drove off.
- Due to the above, we had a group of seven in front of us (with most actually playing from four bags). All were beginners that were playing way to slow. The Course Marshal drove past them without a flinch...not sure what he was doing today.
- Many twosomes went off today, which shouldn't happen on a busy weekend. They all should be paired up to facilitate better golf experience for all.
Thank you for coming out to San Ramon. We agree, this wasn't our best day, We are bringing this feedback to our team to improve for your next visit.

Punched greens
There was no notification that the greens had been punched. Pace was awful

Easy pandemic course to walk
The big gaps between greens and tees are across the streets. The front 9 is flat and back 9 is slightly hilly.
Greens were rolling smooth and quick.
The remodeled 9th green is still a trainwreck. No matter where the pin is cut, you have to play for the lower tier. Not even wedges will hold on the upper tier. They need to flatten out that green!

Too slow,garbage pile 30 feet from green hole seven,deferred maintenance.

“Just confused cart rate” — RESOLVED! **UPDATE**
Wrote review about cart rate issue today. Got a call from San Ramon GC before end of the day and they immediately fixed the issue! EXCELLENT customer service!!! Thank you!
Just confused about cart rate
Now its our second time playing here. I’m just confused about their cart rate. First time we played here that was @12:16pm, the guy gave us $12 cart rate (which is awesome!). And now, our second time @12:25pm they charged us $16 for the cart (bummer!). I believe it should be twilight rate but the guy at the check in desk didnt give me that rate (not cool). Another issue, the pace was soooo sloooow! There’s like 4 groups waiting ahead of us and it took us which I say 30 or more minutes wait. I suggest to work on maybe over booking? or tell slow golfers to pickup their pace. But I still love this course, clean fairways and flat tee boxes (always a plus!)

good value
fair to good conditions for a public course that gets an enormous amount of play especially now during the pandemic. Greens are poor right now, but I think because aeration is near. Overall good value for the Bay Area.

Good value for public course in this area. Gets high amount of play as do all public courses in this area since the pandemic. Greens could be better kept, but time for aeration is near. Overall, playable and somewhat challenging.
