What’s going on with the tee boxes?
Played Memorial Day 8AM on a hot deal (for $24 each....on a holiday weekend morning, a steal!)
Been playing this course regularly since I moved here from NJ five years ago, and the course conditions have gotten progressively worse, especially with the tee boxes. Repeated efforts to seed and sod instead of investing in proper drainage and tree removal to promote healthy turf have left virtually every tee box a sandy mess (no grass whatsoever on 70-75% of them).
Greens are still really good, but some of the pin placements out there contribute to slower play....it shouldn’t take 5:05 to play a round of golf at 8 in the morning.
Not sure if it’s worth $50-70 to play at regular price anymore.
Good Round of Golf
Started at 8am and done by noon...and that was with 4 seniors ahead of us. Greens had just been sanded, so that presented some challenges. I wish they would drop the “cart path only” on holes 4 and 8. Things back up there; Hole 10 (which is sometimes where you start) can also take some time to get going. They are working on fixing some tee boxes. Good! Also need to upgrade the traps with better sand.
Super Slow Play and Poor Course Conditions
My observations:
- Course was absolutely packed... and the marshalls wer doing nothing to help the pace of play. Be prepared for a round over 5 hours long.
- A number of tee boxes are completely covered in sand. It looks like a beach sometimes. Other tees are a dust bowl of dirt without grass.
- The greens look okay but they are harder than a rock and nothing checks.
I won't be coming back here for a long time. Hopefully they can turn the place around. It has a lot of potential.

Had to pay more than what golf now booked me for
Booked a round for my friend & me at Trophy club & assistant said they didn't have the reservation. I showed him on my phone the reservation. He said he was having trouble with golf now & they were supposed to take Trophy Club off their list, that he will try to work something out. He ended up charging us about $3 more a piece than what golf now said it would be. Being a Golf pass member this experience put a bad taste in my mouth & I would hope something like this never happens again.

Good not great
This is a nice course. The lay out is good and in good shape. If you get a deal from GN it is worth it. Otherwise expensive for the area.
Recently-treated greens, but still enjoyable
Played the back nine late afternoon. Course was in very good shape, and even with the greens recently treated, we still had a very enjoyable and fun round. Staff made good on a minor technological challenge with golfnow.com, so they know who the customer is! This is a bit of a drive (Alpharetta), but worth it.
Course in terrible condition
I play once a week and gave this course a try. It was in terrible condition. The tee boxes had no grass on them, just dirt. Also the greens had just had huge amounts of sand recently spread on them. It was not very enjoyable. Will not play here ever again
Course conditions
Love the layout and have later this course many times but today it was in the worse shape I have ever seen it. Fairways were very very thin with grass and the tee boxes had absolutely no grass. This was my worst experience yet. Hopefully things will change - and quickly!
Nice Views
Overall is was satisfactory. Many T boxes in terrible shape and needs to be addressed. Cost too high.
10-18 Rough shape
Greens were terrible and hole number 10-18 were in terrible condition. Course was not worth the money. Highly disappointed with my experience.
I agree. The course was in awful shape for April 10th when we played. I played 2 other courses in the last week that were in much, much better shape. Very little grass anywhere and mud in most places. They should have told us before we came over to play. Reduced rates were in order and they didn't offer that.
