18th Hole Photo submitted by baller1308 on 08/31/2015
Poor conditions
They’ve lost the tee boxes.
Almost every tee box is flat out dirt not a patch of grass. Same goes for any low spot in the fairway or around the green. The bunkers have standing water with hard clay. The greens are fine, not great but ok. Some nasty pin locations and a lot of elevation changes on the course and greens. Could be a cool course if they put some money into it.
It was my first time playing the course. I’ll give it another chance once the summer hits, hopefully they are simply waiting out the end of winter. If rate were more than $40 it’s not worth it.
Great greens, soggy grounds and tee boxes
Greens were perfect. Not one bad roll all day. We’ve had a lot of rain in the past month so everything is pretty soggy. Fairways are in decent shape especially for the rain we’ve had. Looking forward to playing once the sun is out for a few days straight.
Soggy day
Very soggy conditions after all the rain we are experiencing this winter. Only saw the front 9 related to the clubhouse not informing us of teeing off the back 9 to start the day. At the turn there were 2 foursomes ahead of us. We talked the starter into allowing us to play the front 9 a second time. The front 9 is a nice layout, would like to play this course in the spring or summer and be able to play all 18 holes.
9 holes for 18 hole price
I purchased 18 holes on GolfNow and when I got to the course was told due to the holiday they were going to only offer 9 holes at that price, the young man at the counter was rude and non helpful.
The course wasn’t in bad shape for the amount of rain we have had but was very disappointed with staff from front desk to starter.
Good day of golf
Course was in very good shape for the recent wet weather. Will be back another day.
Way too expensive for quality of course
I hate leaving negative reviews but feel compelled to here. While the course is OK, the tee boxes are awful. There is no way they should charge more than 20 bucks for a round here, even on the weekends. No way this is a $60 track which is what it's often priced at. Many better options elsewhere. Don't waste your money here.
average
Course was in good shape except for the tee boxes and greens were rough.
As expected but a little rough on the greens
Main gripe here is that the greens were bad. I know they had aerated several weeks back, but most of that had recovered, and they just seemed beat up. Putting is a huge part of golf and when your ball jumps or rolls inconsistently, it is tough to have a real gauge on your game.
Won't go back
If I was an owner or manager, I would be embarrassed over some of the conditions of this course especially at this time of year! Inexcusable are the sand-less,, obviously non-raked for WEEKS sand-traps, no mud pits. Also , many of the tee boxes were unexen, and grassless.
This coourse charges $45-60 a round. It isn't even a $30 coursee!!

I haven't played here in years. The day prior to this, I bought a tee time for 12:48pm and was paired with an ambassador named Russell. I thought "ambassador, what's that? He's got to be good." So, I agreed to play with him. Russell was nice enough, and after we tee'd off, I learned he'd been playing golf for just a year and a half. He also had just had a knee operation and had both achilles heels operated on. I felt sorry for his physical condition and made it a point to just relax and help him as I saw fit. As you could imagine he struggled. So, I basically gave Russell a full playing lesson for the remainder of the day after about five holes, and made no point about trying to be serious in my own game that day. Russell shot a 61 on the front nine. That was what I would expect from a man in his physical condition, his limited understanding and time around the sport and with his age. No big deal. So, I wanted to go out and play without the incumberances of having to teach a fellow how to play golf, so later, I bought a tee time for the following day October 2nd - same time, 12:48pm. I started as a single, (play started on the 10th) and after making the turn joined with another person to form a twosome and on our 11th hole ran into a group of three elderly players. These golfers were awful. Russell was not one of them. Not only did they play terribly but they failed to recognize players behind them, which as etiquette goes is a poor sign. Every hole was sheer agony. We'd arrive at each tee box and the threesome were still on the tee, and hadn't hit their own tee shots. Each shot was awful, with balls either not making the fairway, or balls being sprayed right or left. These are the definition of very high handicappers. As agonizing as it was we just dealt with it and chatted. Then on the 17th hole (#8 on the scorecard), the threesome paired with two additional golfers which were playing in front of them to make a fivesome. A FIVESOME!!! So as we sat on the tee box in shock, we had to watch five of the worst golfers tee off. Four sliced into the woods and only one hit the fairway. They drove off and searched for balls in the woods for at least 10 minutes or more, and finally a few chipped out into the fairway. One golfer was so bad, he tried three separate times to hit over the creek onto the green and failed each time. He was lying seven or eight and far enough ahead so I decided to hit my tee shot (from the gold tips). My playing partner also teed off (from whites). When I got to my ball, this fellow laying seven or eight was literally still in the fairway! It'd been 15 to 20 minutes since they tee'd off!!!! I approached him and asked "You're seriously going to play as a five some and not let the two golfers behind you play through?" He acted like he couldn't understand me, and replied "we work here." I approached so he would understand me clearly and I asked again "You're seriously going to play as a five some and not let the two golfers behind you play through?" He literally said "We thought this would be faster, and there are only two holes left." I said "No. You understand that a five some is a no no, and independent of how many golfers are behind you, you've got to let fewer golfers play through, right ?" He said "I don't understand." At that point I got completely fed up and blew my stack. I will never be back to this horrible golf experience. Seriously, think about this. A golf course has elderly gents work for no pay as marshalls/ambassadors, and lets them play for free or for $5 or $6. The marshalls this course hires don't even have a clue as to the etiquette of the game? Stay away from this awful experience.
Fast greens...good times!
Always enjoy playing this course. It is well maintained, and the fast greens were challenging. It was crowded but the pace of play was good, as the course rangers kept everyone moving.
Poor Customer Service
Bought a GOlfnow teetime for $40. Stopped after 9, as I felt light headed from not drinking enough water in the heat. Asked for a credit for 9 holes to come back and play another day.. They refused, saying I paid too close to their 9 hole rate for 18. I pointed out they accepted $40 for 18, I should either get a refund for $20 or a 9 hole credit. Attogant clerk in pro shop said no.
Manager who made decision did not even come out of his back office to tell me in person.
Plays to its’s handicap
Played blue tees. 126 slope. Course is not forgiving. Rough is higher than I’d like. Couple of hokey pin placements. More rewarding for accurate drivers. Fairways were in good shape. Most importantly the greens were really good. There’re Bermuda and pretty fast. Range is, well, not bad. It’s a little inaccessible, you don’t want to hoof it. Plenty of water and ball cleaners on course.
Greens were just punched and dressed
The greens were recently punched and top dressed. NO notification online or at pro shop check in. Was not worth what I paid and I would have played another course had I known.
STOP taking tee times so early in the morning if your crew doesn't start until after 7 am. You (the pro shop) are causing the course to back up before the day has even begun by sending groups out prior to the maintenance grew starting.
