Get what you pay for
This course is a true goat track- the tee boxes are just dirt, the greens are tiny and bumpy. Still a good place if you just want to bring the bros and drink beer while you play a quick 18.
You Get What You Pay For
Even at this price, this course is not worth the time of day. There's no such thing as a tee box there it's just a pile of sand that's hard as cement. The greens are just as bad.The players are usually backed up because it's so inexpensive but they don't they play ready golf. As the review title suggest, pay less get less. Do not waste your time. It was horrible.
Don’t waste your time.
The only thing good about this tired old course is the location. It’s cheap to play, but as the old adage says, you get what you pay for.. The HOA at Cross Creek condos is $600 a month. You would think they would use some of that for upkeep on the course.
Great par 3 course
A fun and quick par 3 course, great for when you don’t have a lot of time or are just learning the game
Don’t except Augusta National
This course is not meant to be a beautiful course. It’s meant to be a course you play to work on your short game. The lady in the shop was extremely nice and very welcoming. This course isn’t kept up very well but for $12 I expected nothing more to it. The greens aren’t mowed down so don’t expect a low round if you don’t stick it close to the pin
Friendly staff
The greens are very rough so there’s not a point in putting with some greens that aren’t well kept.
However, if you want to get a quick round in or want to play with a friend that’s starting off, this is a good place to play. You can still work on your wedge game. I always see an improvement on my scores on par 3’s after playing here.
Staff is always friendly when I check in as well.
Cross Creek
Had a great outing. It’s definitely a course to work on your short game, really fun and had some nice challenges to it being that I’m only 3 months in on playing.
The greens are extremely variable, so if you’re a snob in that area I wouldn’t recommend it. However, if you’re up for challenges and think that may help your putting game, highly recommend. I’m excited to see how they look in Spring/Summer given I went in December.
Would definitely play this course again. Quick play pace and a peaceful area. Can’t beat the price to get out and practice.
Little practice round
Good course in ok condition. could had been in better conditions seems a little left behind
A morning walk
A beautiful way to start the day, with a walk round this short course. There are just enough slopes to make it a good workout. The maintenance guys are friendly, as were the pros in the shop. Several greens were under repair, but looking like the work was almost complete. They had temporary greens, which were challenging but a lot of fun. Well worth the small price to play there.
Cheap course for casual players
The good: Brand new to the sport and wanted some cheap practice. Good place to work on hitting irons for new players, kids, and women. Got in a nice walk and scenery is pretty. Very casual vibes. Lady working there gave me a free push cart since it was my first time and was very nice.
The bad: Don’t plan on practicing your putts. The greens were a mix of mud, sand, and weeds. Some greens were clearly trashed so they just scalped another area next to it and called it a new green. Tee boxes and fairways weren’t the best maintained. Accuracy is huge so anything off target is a lost ball in the trees or creeks.
Overall it’s a cheap little neighborhood course to practice some short irons and wedges for a cheap price. Leave putter and woods at home.
