Good time
We were a 4some. Beginners in the group. Pace of play would have been better if 5 more minutes between. Still a fun time and great value.
Good Pitch and Putt
Solid par 3 pitch and putt course in Atlanta. All holes are between 100-150 yards. Great for golfers who are looking to get a round in for under 2 hours. Course plays for all levels of golfer, whether you’re a beginner looking to start out or an advanced golfer looking to work on distance control. Don’t expect to be blown away by top notch greens or tee boxes. Good value compared to other courses in the area. Hidden gem in Atlanta!
Cross Creek Par 3
Smooth check in and accommodated our group that had 2 kids and 3 adults. Course condition was fair - some tees lacked grass and were mostly bare dirt. Only saw blue tees; no red tees set up. Fairways in fair- good condition; some bare spots; greens needed to be cut especially before heavy weekend play. Pace of play was good; we let a couple of groups play through since we had 2 kids in our group. Friendly atmosphere and good staff.
PW + Putter
Unless you're 6 years old, dont bring a whole bag
All the holes are under 120 yards
A lot of geese and goose poop
You get what you pay for
Bit of a goat ranch but it's $20 and change for a 2 hour 18
Great place to bring your child or to practice your short game
A great way to spend the day
A nice well laid out par 3 course. I nice easy walk with enough challenges to keep it interesting.
The course is well kept. The greens are small and well maintained.
I only wish they had a driving range.
Cross Creek Par 3
Great course to work on your short game. Greens are small, but in good shape. There are different elevations and water on a few holes. Very pleasant experience.
The staff is super friendly and there is a restaurant on site. It was closed due to COVID, but I've been there before and it is a great spot for post round refreshments.
W&D Newnan
I don’t really play par-3 courses but this was short notice (day after Christmas) when most courses were booked
Nice pitch and putt course
Greens pretty small, so emphasis is on pitching. Could use a few more directional markers on the back nine
Perfect for kids. Fun for adults if it's empty.
Cross Creek is a cool little spot if you bring the right expectations. It's behind an apt complex pool with a tiny little pond.
It is not a real golf course. It is essentially a pitch & putt. The tee boxes, grass, and greens are what you'd expect from a homemade golf course.
A few things I like:
1. Convenient location off Moores Mill Rd about 4 exits north of Midtown ATL.
2. Perfect for little kids and families
3. Relatively cheap
4. Pretty cool piece of land (small creek runs through the middle with some bridges/walkways)
5. You only need to carry 3 clubs at most (including a putter)
A few things I don't like:
1. Backyard conditions
2. Greens aren't actually greens (small circles of very low cut grass)
3. Tee boxes are pretty much half dead (use a tee on most holes)
4. Many holes are right next to each other (tee boxes right where people are hitting)
5. A price point of $20 or more is too high in my opinion (value is more like $10-$15)
6. Doesn't look like there are any plans to renovate or try to make it better (could be turned into a hidden practice gem with some $ and love)
Overall, Cross Creek is a neat little spot. It's very short, making it perfect for little kids, first-timers, and intermediate golfers who only want to practice wedge shots. If you can go for $10-$15 it's a good way to spend an hour.
I think that the apartment complex owns the course. With a little bit of $ and love, this could become a much more enjoyable place. They have decent traffic, so I don't expect them to care enough to renovate. If they did, I think the complex could charge more for rent and it could encourage golfers to live/practice there.
Terrible Experience
I’m all for kids golfing, but you should give someone a heads up if there’s going to be three groups of children in front of them. Play was EXTREMELY SLOW, tee boxes and greens were in very poor condition as well. Will not return and would only recommend this course to someone coming to play a practice round with their child.
Great time
Great time with my 4 yr old son. Will definitely be back. Staff was extremely friendly!
Great Par 3
This is a great par 3 18 hole course. Challanging but fun for beginners as well as for tuning up your game.
