Course was in good condition. Greens in very good condition, but some slower then others. Fairways grass was too high in many fairways. Had a good time playing.

Great public course with a few blemishes
Played cart path only after a lot of rain the previous few days. Got behind a group who were oblivious to our having to wait for them on every shot as they averaged 20 minutes per hole. No ranger in sight. Skipping a hole to pass them was our only option.
Nevertheless, the course was in very good shape in spite of the rain. We'll be back.

Challenging Day but Awesome Greens
Played here for the first time with my son who had played here before. The challenging part was the weather. The heat index was off the charts and there had been lots of rain in the days before, so the course was very soggy. But, the staff both inside and outside was very friendly. The starter gave us some good tips and a staff member drove me to my car after dropping off the cart. Despite the weather, the greens were excellent, some of the best I have seen locally. We will be back when the weather cools down a bit.

Tempted to give it 1 star…
…so the rest of you will stay away and we can keep this gem to ourselves. Listen, are there faults? Yes. The cart paths are bad (which you’d never know if you’d get a push cart and walk). There are lots more trees that need to come down. Some of the tee boxes are like pavement
and there are a few bare spots. But if you are looking for an inexpensive, enjoyable, often delightful place to play a round with true greens, Sugar Creek is the champ.

Nice tree lined course. Not a long course, it requires more than length to score well. The greens are outstanding for a public course. Good course to walk.

Nice Course
Green were in great shape, fairways for the most part were fine also, although there were a few bald spots here and there. This course has nice variety of holes, and I enjoyed my round.

Course needs drainage system real bad.okay when it's not wet otherwise stay away. Greens are in very good shape, need to cut down some tree foleledge.

Almost a 5-Star course
The only items keeping this course from a 5-Star rating are the cart paths and the number of bare spots (mostly adjacent to the cart paths). Fairways and greens are excellent!

Good public course
The pace of play was better than usual, but the greens were much slower. Our group just couldn't adjust from the normal speed, leaving putt after putt short. The greens themselves are excellent although a little firm for stopping short iron shots. All in all, the course is very good. We'll be back.

Awful. Just Awful.
So much potential.
Really tired of playing with people with bad etiquette. This golf course just amplifies those peoples behavior.
Slow pace of play. People in front of us were literally just standing around smoking cigars like no one else was on the course.
Starter let people play that were 30+ minutes late.
Marshall is non-existent and doesn’t know how to regulate pace of play.
Just awful man.
