I have played here a lot. The course is in superb condition. Greens are absolutely perfect. Always seems to play longer than yardage to me. Fair course with easy and difficult holes.

The golf course was in great shape, well maintained.
The greens are in great shape and the rest of the golf course was well maintained and the staff is always friendly.

Played the blue tees, early morning.

Conditions were good tee to green. Rough was cut for the most part, it was a hindrance to shots, but not brutally penal. There were few areas where you're probably not supposed to be you could lose a ball in the rough.

Had not played here in 5+ years...the routing has one little quirk...the transition from 9 green to 10 tee puts you in the line of fire of those teeing off on 10.

Not a long course, but they stretched the blues out a little bit as several of the short par 4 holes and the par 5 9th were playing basically the same as the gold making it about 6300+ vs the 6177 on the card. Only 3 par 5 holes (par 71), both on the back offer a great chance to get home in 2. Nice collection of par 3 holes. I found this tee to be a solid challenge even though I only hit driver maybe 6 or 7 times all day.

Most holes are wysiwyg, to the landing areas but some course knowledge is helpful as there are no hole layouts on the scorecard. There's enough trouble to make you pay if you get sideways, but low and high indexes alike will have a good time.

Saved the best for last...the greens...I've played Champions bermuda this year and loved the surface...these did not disappoint...they held most of my good approach shots, fast and true. Most are pretty small greens, so it's not always a full club more or less to the back and front pin locations. A lot of them are pitched back to front back, but enough undulation to keep your attention all day. Need to stay below the hole to have a good day on the greens.

Well worth the trip and I expect to get back out there in short order.

The course was in great shape. staff was good. fairway are a little tight and the greens are fast.

The greens are in very good condition and rolling very fast. You just never know what kind of golfer you are going to be playing behind.

Lane Creek is a good track with a number of memorable holes. (#6 & #7 come to mind on the front while #13 & #14 stand out on the back). Even though the greens had been recently top dressed, they were quick and true. The course is a little out of the way for metro golfers, but worth the trip.

Where to start? Got there and all of the greens had been sanded, yet Golf Now says that has to be listed by the course so it is known before you book. We drove 30+ miles to play and were dissapointed with this! Trash everywhere all over the course, got tired of picking it up, all trash cans were more than overflowing. Next: One person in the pro shop to cover desk, shack bar, phones etc. No marshal's anywhere on the course, we played behind and in front of a bunch of country bumpkins. i.e. driving right up next to greens, driving right up to the tee while we were on the tee and sitting and talking loudly, NEVER raked a trap or fixed a ball mark. Next: Cups on greens looked like they hadn't been moved in a week or more. Overall could be a nice track but really needs some management, monitoring, and staffing to at a MINIMUM maintain the course to a municipal course level. I would probably go back once more just to see if this day was a fluke or if this is the norm.

The starter told us the greens crew rolled the greens the day before we played so they were super quick. Some of the traps could use a little raking but with as much rain as we've had I can understand them being a little wet. Overall the course is great and I always enjoy playing there. Best value in the area.

I am a senior golfer and play average, or faster than most. I usually play early in the morning while grass is still wet. I know this sounds a little picky but the course should have shoe/spike cleaners available. Over all this is the nicest course in the Athens area.

I've played this course several times now and I like it more each time I play it.

Mostly easy layout with several difficult holes. Its not in the best shape that I've seen it, but it's still well maintained.

Greens had just been punched, but still rolled well. Course otherwise was in great shape, practice areas also. White tees make the course short and much easier than the blue tees. I normally shoot around 95, but shot 88 from the whites. I would recommend to anyone.

Even though the greens are currently aerated and sandy. I have played this course a number of times. Give this course about 30 days to get the greens back in great shape. Sand Traps were hard due to heavy rains, but work is underway to bring back to their usual great condition.

Although the greens had been aerated, the greens are normally super fast. There are some very challenging holes here. If you have never played this course - do it.

Good course for money. Great shape but members not letting play through is unforgivable.

It was a pleasure to play, I have been talking about it first thing this morning. 73 yrs old and I played the blue tees. loved it.

Course was in great condition. Greens were smooth and fast.
Must have a good tee shot as some holes are tight.

The course was very busy on Saturday morning with a lot of
players , but the starter and marshal both did an excellent job
of combining groups to make foursomes, and monitoring activities to insure a good pace of play. Great job!

There's are the fastest greens I have played this year. Glassy. But in really great shape thanks the all the crews hard work and Mother Nature's soaking rains. I love them and hate the. For stealing points from me. The course is I good condition again thanks the the grounds crew and the wet june. I would and will play again many times. One of the few courses in the area that can be walked by anyone other than the fittest golfers.

We play Lane Creek once a month and it is always well maintained. Golf Now gives amazing deals in the 20-35/round range and you can typically find a tee time when you want.

The actual course is well kept and the staff is very cordial. They tend to let you play at your pace unless you are holding people up consistently.

Would recommend to anyone in the Athens area.
