Played this course many times. Due to the quality of the course keeps me coming back.

I would recommend this course, challenging, greens in great shape.

Traveling through on a trip to Florida. WE played on a Friday and the course was crowded. The front 9 was a little slow but the pace picked up on the back 9.

The course was in very good shape. The greens were fast/very consistent.

Our foursome ranged from 7 to 18 handicap. All enjoyed the course. Hope to be able to play the course again on the next trip through.

Greens were fast and smooth. Enjoyed the layout, hardly any straight holes, lots to think about with doglegs and water.

When I checked in, the pro shop said my tee time was set for member blitz. They did a good job by sending me out prior to the blitz. Glad I got there early.

Course was in very good shape for February. Fastest greens I played in a long time which led to many 3 putts and long rolling chips. This is not a negative but course factor.

I'm another local who has seen the transformations at Heritage. The new traps and drainage system have now brought the rest of the course up to the level of the excellent greens. I was skeptical at first about the elevated tees, but I really enjoy the views that you don't usually find on coastal courses, and I get a kick out of watching drives soar over the fairways. The course is very playable, but it has plenty of challenge to keep your attention--especially Hallelujah Corner. (If I get through 5 and 6 in par, I say "Hallelujah!")

Since moving to the area in 2015, this course has come a LONG way. The owner has poured money into the course from bunkers, to removing weird monkey grass, improving the greens, raising tee boxes, etc. course is in fantastic shape! Now that the rates are $69 again, it’s a must play when in the area.

Been playing Heritage Oaks GC. Nice place. Good tee boxes. Complete grass coverage in the fairways. The greens are the best part, they are great. The greens are fast, but predictable. The grass coverage is great, no fungus. The superintendent, Mike Workman and his crew are doing a great job.

Greens, fairways, tees, are all EXCELLENT. If you have not played here, you are missing out!!!

This course caters to its existing members and has no tolerance for outside play!! Rude, unprofessional, and way overpriced for the poor conditions! Drive to Jekyll!!

Waited in the Empty pro shop for 5 minutes for someone....anyone.... to book me in. The unfriendliness golf pro I’ve ever met evidently aggravated by my interrupting his morning sent me out. The course was fairly empty of players. 70% of the bunkers were dug out and GUR. The “Elevated” Tee boxes are a joke! The course was a soggy mess....yes it rains in southeastern Georgia, get some drainage. It’s a tragedy that a course in a great coastal location like this can continue operating.......or can it?? Avoid!!

Course was in decent condition given the recent rain. There’s a few interesting holes but nothing especially memorable. The greens were the highlight with generally interesting but fair contouring. Thought the course was a bit overpriced.

Would not recommend to anyone. I called to make a tee time at 3:30, as it was the only time my visiting friend could play. Nobody told me on the phone that the carts needed to be in at 6:30. I arrived at the course and the golf staff asked in a derogatory tone if we both had clubs because we cannot use one set. We obviously said we did. Again, nobody mentioned carts being turned in at 6:30. Due to weather, we could not tee off until 4. We made the turn at 6:10 with still over 2 hours of daylight to play. Halfway through #10, the cart boy told us the carts needed to be in the clubhouse in 10 minutes. Nobody told us about this until we had paid $55 and played only half of our round. Upon requesting a refund for the golf we could not complete, we were told to leave our numbers with the staff to get a call back. One call was made to my phone. I had to call twice to request my refund and still never received a refund or any compensation.

As for the course itself, it was in mediocre shape. Greens were bouncy and unreliable. I would not recommend this course to anyone. The customer service was unbelievable. I do not write reviews for anything, but due to the lack of customer service and absolutely nothing being done for reimbursement, not to mention the over priced golf for a sub par course, something had to be said. I hope someone can read this and take their game somewhere else.
