Burnt Greens
Tee boxes and fairways were fine. However almost every green was burnt and had major dead spots or no grass. Was NOT told this upon booking. It was also hot outside the day we played. The course did have water stations on the course. I wanted a Gatorade to help with the amount of sweating I had. During the turn I went inside and they ONLY had water and a handful of sodas. We seen absolutely no marshal on the course and the two groups in front of played so slow we was waiting 10-15 on every hole until they finally allowed us to play through.
New Cart Nonsense
I drove 60 miles one way to play Apple Mountain on Thursday. I drive that far a few times a year because I like the course. When we arrived on Thursday, the staff said,’We have brand new carts today. That comment did not indicate the chaos that followed. The new sign in the parking lot said, “No carts in the parking lot.” This forced us to carry our clubs about 50 feet to load the cart and then drive about 200 yards to the first tee. On the first hole we were required to play Cart path only ever though the fairway was dry. The GPS on the cart kept us o the cart paths for the first four holes until the nice man from the check in came out and turned off the cart paths only on our GPS. The GPS continued to plague us with oddities: it jumped back to the fifth hole three times while playing the back nine. I will not play there again if they keep their no carts in the parking lot policy. It just made a senior golf walk and walk. I walked 11,000 steps in 95 degree heat.
We booked on GolfNow. Nobody said anything about not having any water up there for two weeks. The greens were burned up. We should have gotten a discount. We drove an hour and 20 minutes to get there. We have played there many times before.
The greens were burned up. We should have received a discount and be told upfront that it was in that condition. We have played up there several times over the past couple of years.
Greens Dead
The Greens were Dead and the Front 9 was closed for half the morning.
Fairways were good and Tee Boxes were good
Good golf outing
Enjoyed my third round . Played from blue tees with two single digit handicappers. Too much for me, struggled trying not to embarrass myself 😞
Ruff was extra thick
Played Apple Mountain several times and the ruff is extra thick currently.
Really like the changes the new owners are making.
Will continue to recommend and play.
Great day at Apple Mountain!
My wife and I purchased the tee time discount for GN members and played at Apple Mountain in Clarksville, GA.
We booked an afternoon tee time and arrived an hour early and they said the course was wide open so they graciously offered us to go early.
Who needs to hit balls and chip and putt prior right 🤣⛳️.
The course was in great shape and we had a great day!
Definitely recommend playing this course.
Overpriced and terrible owners.
Course is going downhill fast. New owners making all the wrong changes and not helping the course. The starter they have doesn’t know the difference between the fairway and the green. Ball marks don’t get fixed. They think they can just add red stakes in the rough and make it harder. Wrong it’s bad. Groups stacked right behind each other. Rude staff. $20 course at most. Go play anywhere else for a good time. 1/10 recommendation.
Great track, fun round.
Only played 9, the heat and slow play was tough. Don't know how most courses manage 4-41/2 hour rounds. Today would have been 5+ hours. Too long!! 😭
Scenic Mountain Golf
Played here for the first time today. Course was in good condition. Tee boxes and greens were good. Rough was tough. Our twosome played in 3 hours 20 minutes. Had a slow threesome in front of us on the front nine. We were staying at the resort across the street so two greens fees with cart were under $35. Great value and a good experience.
Nice Course! Bring a pillow.
Great value for a nice little country course. Be prepared to take your time.
Good course
At last, a course with a starter to get everyone off on time and achieve a less than 4 hour round. A couple of short waits, especially on #18 but overall a good pace of play. Excellent! Interesting layout, not too difficult. Paired up with 2 good guys.
Winter golf
For winter golf this course is in great condition. The greens were fast and rolled really nice. Still enough grass on the fairways to get the club under the ball.
Over all Great course
Had a great round of golf!! Me and a long time friend of mine played 18 and absolutely loved it. Wasn't crazy about the price for a round ( I've played nicer courses for less money), I enjoyed every hole and didn't feel rushed. Challenging greens though because they are FAST.
Would be really nice if they had some kind of restaurant/grill though, we like to break and eat between front and back 9's but thats not going to stop us from going back.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us! We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Apple Mountain Resort, and we hope to see you again in the future.
