Brown 'n Breezy
Winter golf means brown Bermuda fairways. The day was a bit chilly and breezy but course conditions pretty good overall. Not very crowded. Course winterized -- no ball washers and course rest room(s) locked. Gas powered carts a bit sluggish due to cool conditions.
Fun course
I've played here close to a dozen times, and it gets better every time...not a lot of hazards to deal with, but the greens are subtle, which is an equalizer. Money is being invested into the course, so I am really looking forward to the future...!!
Bring Extra Balls
Played on a beautiful Sunday afternoon - course was in great shape and there was no one on the course! My advice, stay on the fairways. The thick first rough is very, well thick and locating your ball can be a challenge - even when you know where it is. Spent a fair amount of time searching (which tells you all you need to know about my game) for balls, even just off the fairways. Besides that, the course was a joy to play. Fairways were well maintained and the greens were slow. The staff was very pleasant and it was a relaxing afternoon without being pushed through my round with crowds behind or waiting for pile ups in front.
Nice course
This is a fun course to play. It plays much tougher than its Course Rating and Slope Ratings...greens have interesting character...lots of subtlety and difficult to read breaks. Always in good condition with very challenging bermuda rough. Recommend playing here.
Great Course for beginners
No water to worry about, wide-open fairways. Really had a good time. One green was a little patchy, but other than that, conditions were fantastic! Just need beer for it to be my ideal.
Pretty Course - Tough Rough
Enjoyed an early morning round while in the area on vacation. Very nice greens. Very punishing rough that often cuts into the middle of the fairways. Local knowledge would be helpful. Will play again next time in area.
Open fairways
Nice open fairways with good grass.
Tee boxes well manicured. Some of the greens hand some stripes of dead grass. The rough was mowed but high and dead grass clippings.
The rough is rough bring some extra balls, very hilly, unusual layout
Well Groomed
I think Apple Mountain offers an excellent value for the average golfer. Cart paths need attention.
Great layout
Great layout and the fairways were pretty opened
Fairway grass probably needs to be cut pretty thick to get through. Overall was a good golfing experience
Not a scramblers course
The first cut of rough is very thick and hard to locate your ball. Course is wide open and even in a 20' circle we struggled to locate balls. Long day searching unless you are in the fairways. Greens are bare and very slow in spots and inconsistent
Great course, could do little to make better
Course was in great shape, other than maybe 2 greens needed little help. All fairways were just fine. Served no hotdogs in clubhouse and no beer. Will allow you to bring own cooler though. Easy 4 star course. Little more work would be a solid 5. Will play again many times.
Beautiful course in Clarksville GA
Played here by chance while traveling in the area. Friendly staff and beautiful course. Great value especially when booked through golf now.
