Great Value Course
Played College Park for my first time today after driving by and noticing it looked pretty good. Then after looking up the price I really wanted to try it out. Only played 9 holes cause I didn’t want to play the same holes again to make it 18, but overall had a great time. I wasn’t expecting the conditions to be as good as they were for $15, certainly not the best I’ve played ever, but for a municipal course that only cost $15 it was great! Can’t judge pace of play too much since I had an 11:30 tee time on a Wednesday, I played super fast and was done in a little over an hour, but I imagine on a weekend or after business hours at the kind of value this course provides it would’ve been much slower. Staff was kind and courteous, court layout was not hard but not too easy either. Overall, I had a really good experience at College Park.
Great course
As a beginner this course is great, wide open yet still can find the woods. It challenges your set up on almost every shot.
Nice value
The course was in good shape and staff is very friendly. Pace was slow but that happens on any course.
Great course
Super accommodating team there who were helpful and well maintained course!
Good value but awful pace of play
I played nine holes with my two kids and we walked. Despite the fact that the groups in front of us were riding in carts it took us almost 3 hours to complete the round. Perhaps it was an anomaly, but waiting 10 minutes to hit every shot is unacceptable. I will go back and give it another chance because the value is great.
Playing with new golfers
Playing with two new golfers so I chose the last tee time on Saturday. The Marshall came and said that the 5th hole would have to be our last but there was plenty of daylight left. We finished the 5th hole at 5:15 pm. I think we could have gotten at least 2 more holes in if not three more. Why they shut the course down so early on Saturday particularly since the weather was so nice and the course was packed earlier I have no clue. The driving range mats were horrible and most of the mats had no rubber tees to use for your driver.
Good course for the value
Played a round Saturday. Beautiful day, course looked good with the green on hole 1 still a bit rough but overall the best shape I’ve seen. Always a great value and fun to play.
Greens need work
The greens are in bad shape. The have several bald spots and they are not cut. Very had to get a true roll.
