Wolf Creek Golf Course
About
Since 2001 Wolf Creek has earned a reputation as one of the toughest golf tracks in the Atlanta Metro area. Wolf Creek boasts a 7028 yard par 72 championship layout with bent grass greens which is just one of the reasons Golf Digest selected Wolf Creek as the best course near Hartsfield Jackson Airport. The Mike Young Designs course incorporates both low flatlands holes, bordering many wetland areas, and holes with dramatic elevation changes. Wolf Creek has four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. A practice range and practice green allow for serious work on your golf game or just a warm-up before your round.

Overpriced
Having been a frequent visitor in the past, I had stopped going due to the price hikes and lack of improvements. Nevertheless, I decided to revisit and was unfortunate enough to encounter a man driving a black G wagon, who behaved in an extremely rude, condescending, and aggressive manner, making me feel uneasy. I later found out that he was the new owner. After his departure, the manager tried to make amends, but I am unlikely to return, mainly because of the steep prices, limited amenities, expensive range balls, and substandard customer service.
Best value in Atlanta this fall!
Fairways and greens are in excellent shape bunkers to Great challenging course. A little bit of work progress going on to improve tee boxes but still well worth the trip.
Poor Management!
I booked around for two through Golfnow. The balance was due at the course ($55 each), paid I paid. As we made the turn, a cart boy came running out saying that we needed to go to the clubhouse because we only played for 9-holes. This was a shocker! I was neve notified once it was a 9-hole rate. Why didn't the clubhouse tell me that when paying? While frustrated, I asked them to just take my card and run the charge so we can keep playing. He called the clubhouse and the manager insisted we come back to the clubhouse. I advise it must have been a simply mistake, I'm happy to pay, I just wanted to get back to golf. The manager insisted on arguing that it shows in their system as 9-holes. Obviously I don't have access to their system. Regardless, I just wanted to pay and golf but he went on and on. End of the day, he should have simply just been nice about any misunderstanding and let us get back to playing. He ruined the entire day. I book tee times at least twice a week for my group of buddies and we will NOT be going back.
Beautiful Day in South West Atlanta ( Wolf Creek)
The staff was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. The views from almost every tee box were absolutely beautiful, and playing as a single, it was so peaceful it felt like I had the whole course to myself. In the afternoon, I even got to hear the local high school band practicing nearby, which added a fun little touch to the round.
This was the first of three great courses I played while traveling through GA, AL, and MS, and it really set the bar high. I did leave my 46° wedge and putter cover behind, but when I called from Mississippi the staff told me not to worry—they’d keep them safe until I came back on Sunday, 9/21.
Overall, just a wonderful experience. I’d recommend this course to anyone looking for a great round of golf.
The Lady Golfer
This was my first time playing at Wolf Creek. Let me just say that this is the place to have a nice round of golf. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I am just a year in my golf journey and wolf creek is not a beginner friendly course but with the right people and determination, you can have a good ole time. They are currently making renovations to the course, so at the time , hole 11 wasn’t really available to play (it’s okay, they are making it look better). The club house has been updated and they have snacks available for purchase . They don’t sell alcohol but you can bring your own. I hope they build a kitchen soon so they can serve breakfast and lunch. The course is absolutely beautiful. You can tell the ground keepers take pride in what they do: The greens roll fast (little to no nut sedge), the course is well maintained and the rough is just enough. I definitely would recommend this course to anyone that would like to have a fun and challenging round of golf. Oh btw, watch out for hole #8, it’s a doozy!
Disorganized and overpriced
No range balls even getting there an hour before our tee time, so no warm up. Pace was good, but lots of construction all over the course. Not worth $80, maybe half of that as of today
BRING YOUR OWN WATER / DRINKS
Absolutely no water to drink out on the course unless you’re lucky enough to catch the cart girl which only has bottled drinks to buy (no booze). You can fill up in the club house by asking staff but they seemed bothered by us asking and not buying their bottled
A few of the pin placements were on extremely difficult slopes today and the course is pretty cooked. I wasn’t the only one needing some water today out there
Nice course
Greens in excellent shape.
Fairways in great shape also. It’s a hilly course but very enjoyable. Different variety of holes.
I drive an hour to play and didn’t regret it.
Highly recommended
One of Best Public Courses Around ATL
Course is in great condition for the most part. They are working on the tee box on the short par 3, number 11, but they needed to.
There are a few other areas that need work, but I think they are doing a good job. It is an Atlanta run course, so like the others, there is no alcohol sold. They have a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks, some prepackaged crackers, snacks and several types of Ice Cream. The staff I encountered were very nice.
First time
First time playing here. Weather was terrible as far as rain but my friends and I wanted to play through. First nine holes were miserable but the rained stopped and back nine was great.
Beautiful course/ layout was awesome/saw some wildlife and we definitely will be back.
Good challenging golf!
Wolf Creek is undoubtedly one of the best public golf courses you'll play at. The greens are excellent, and the fairways and tee boxes are in great condition, thanks to the diligent work of the groundskeepers. The course would receive a five-star rating if it had a better food offering, a driving range, and the option to drive your cart to your car before and after your round. Despite these minor improvements, it provides a nearly perfect golfing experience!
