Wolf Creek Golf Course
About
Since 2001 Wolf Creek has earned a reputation as one of the toughest golf tracks in the Atlanta Metro area. Wolf Creek boasts a 7028 yard par 72 championship layout with bent grass greens which is just one of the reasons Golf Digest selected Wolf Creek as the best course near Hartsfield Jackson Airport. The Mike Young Designs course incorporates both low flatlands holes, bordering many wetland areas, and holes with dramatic elevation changes. Wolf Creek has four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. A practice range and practice green allow for serious work on your golf game or just a warm-up before your round.

Temporary Greens
The course is going through renovations and has temporary greens on Holes 9 and 18. The green fees should be reduced due to this.
Holes Under Construction
The course has two holes under construction and it takes away from the challenge of the course. It was both par 5 holes, 9 and 18. The make-shift holes were really not greens to play on.
Under construction
The course is nice, well maintained. After rain, the course drains well. However, we should have been informed that holes 9 and 18 were under construction. Because provisional holes were created and the GPS-restricted carts would not allow us to pass certain areas, the routing became confusing and we did not know where to go.
The staff failed to notify us about the construction or the cart restrictions, which was very frustrating. They said the work would be completed in June, but there still appeared to be a significant amount left to do.
Overall, it is a very nice course, but I would not recommend playing while the construction continues. At that price point, guests should be told what to expect and ideally wait until the work is finished.
Do NOT play in Spring of 2026
The course is undergoing significant redevelopment of a couple of holes. This is fine. However, you’re left with two par 3s that are basically just spray painted greens on part of the old fairways. There’s zero signage to tell you where to go around the construction. Additionally, the new cart governors stop you WAYYYYYYY before the signage tells you. Your cart is locked and beeps incessantly.
There was nothing on the booking site to indicate any of this
WAY overpriced considering. We felt ripped off and may never go back.
Great course, play it often
Wish the rangers enforced pace of play. They are very nice and helpful, but poor to average players, first time players should not be permitted to play from the longer tees? Players approaching the tee box 1 at a time, "professional" green readers Maybe flash etteiquite tips on the gps screen. Many are new to the game. Also the cart path needs work, especially the transition between the rough and concrete cart path edge. More mulch on the tree roots. Maybe add some flowering shrubs near some of the greens and tee boxes. Like the long par 3 with the sand trap that's now grass.

Great course. Had lots of challenges and there is construction as the redo the 9 and 18 holes but it was great
Coming along but not there yet!
With the construction going on on holes 9 and 18, the course loses a lot of bang at the end of each nine. They should offer a discount while those holes are under construction.
Only 16 holes open
The course ans greens are in good shape for this time of year. Unfortunately they have closed the 9th hole and the 18th hole for a major construction project to redesign those holes. Looks like it will be 2-3 months until that is complete. They made 9 and 18 into par 3 with a "green" in the fairway. Very disappointing that this was not disclosed until we got to the course. No discount either, still charging full fees.
Course needs restrooms
Nice challenging course, friendly staff and good practice areas, however, no on course restrooms and two temporary greens whiche are way short of the actual greens prevent it from being worth the green fees.
Advance Notice - Temporary Greens
Course was as expected this time of year, nice layout but it would be great if advised in advance of Golfnow booking of temporary greens on holes 9 and 18. Consideration should be given to replacing those rock hard mats on the range. Friendly youngster managing the cart activities.
Courses or gol now giving notice
Two holes were closed when I played. Why can’t courses and or Golf Now inform players of holes being closed, car path only, aerofication, etc. BEFORE booking a tee time??????
Course Under Major Construction, no notification given until after payment processed in pro shop
Do not waste your time or money here. Paid their standard price for 18 holes on a Wednesday morning, as soon as my receipt started printing the guy then decides to tell me the course is under some “minor reconstruction”, so keep my receipt so I can get 10% off next time. Get out on the course, nothing about the reconstruction is minor. Half the course is completely torn up, there are temporary “greens” in the middle of the fairway on at least 2 holes, turning 4-500 yard holes into 175 par 5s, while you putt on a fairway. Never would have booked, or paid in the shop if this was openly disclosed prior to. Who wants to come back for a discounted rate after paying full price for a torn apart course? Dishonest and poor management. 4 pro shop employees are more concerned with hanging up new shelves than helping a line of customers get what they need at the turn. Never again.
Temp green on 2 holes.
Course is under construction on 2 holes, both on the back 9. Temp green just after the turn makes the hole a gettable par 4. The second temp green is on the last hole and basically makes it into a 200 yard par 3 (hole is supposed to be a par 5). $57 not worth it IMO, especially with no dogs or beers at the turn.
Hole 9 and 18 under renovation and terrible pace
No attempt to keep pace of play up and holes 9 and 18 under renovation with no warning or heads up. Not worth $75
