Wolf Creek Golf Course
About
Since 2001 Wolf Creek has earned a reputation as one of the toughest golf tracks in the Atlanta Metro area. Wolf Creek boasts a 7028 yard par 72 championship layout with bent grass greens which is just one of the reasons Golf Digest selected Wolf Creek as the best course near Hartsfield Jackson Airport. The Mike Young Designs course incorporates both low flatlands holes, bordering many wetland areas, and holes with dramatic elevation changes. Wolf Creek has four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. A practice range and practice green allow for serious work on your golf game or just a warm-up before your round.

8th Tee Box Photo submitted by jelly6739 on 11/20/2012
I played yesterday at Wolf Creek Golf Club and was very disappointed. There was no drinking water on the course, no restaurant or bar service open, and no water stations between holes.
We were also not informed that holes 9 and 18 had temporary greens instead of regular greens. For the price charged, the overall experience and service were not acceptable.
Mixed bag
Course had some very good qualities as well as some bad ones. We probably should have been notified either when booking or checking in that there are multiple holes under construction and playing on a couple of temporary greens. Course layout is good. Fairways and most greens in good condition. Tee boxes in bad shape. Pace of play very good, course staff friendly.
WARNING! Holes 9 & 18 UNDER CONSTRUCTION
If you are going to charge full price you should be obligated to let your patrons know the course is under construction!!! This is not cool....
Besides the two holes under construction and playing as par 3s the course is in great shape and i look forward to playing it again when the construction has finished.
Great value for the condition
I am always leery of new courses that aren’t directly recommended, but this turned out to be a great day.
Despite a few holes under renovation, the balance of the golf course was very fun and challenging. Some risk reward tee shots and the greens rolled very nicely.
The greens are small and hilly, so missing below the hole was key.
They’re renovating 9&18 (I think) and it looks like it will be an improvement. It looks like they’re putting a lot of effort and money into improving the golf course and it’s healthy. If you don’t mind 3 temporary greens (prob for at least 6 months) it’s worth it.
The only reason I don’t rate higher for conditions is because of the temp greens.
The “clubhouse” was lame and the pro shop was thin of merch but a nice staff.
The range and other facilities looked nice, but I didn’t hit and nuggets before play.
Great Track Under Renovation
I can’t wait to return to Wolf Creek in another year when the course renovation will be completed. Great elevation changes and mix of challenging holes.
2 Temp Greens
I’ve been playing this course for over 13 years. I love the track and I also understand that the improvements will pay dividends in the long run. With 2 temp greens (9 & 18), the rate should be reduced.
Must Play
Love this course and it’s only going to get better. Awesome layout. Currently have 2 temp greens because they are totally redoing hole 9 & 18. I can’t wait to see the finished product…looks great already. A must play if you haven’t played there before.
Renovation on 9 & 18, inconsistent green speeds
Beware that the 9th and 18th wholes are temporary and not even playable because of the renovation, so you’re basically playing 16 holes. Overall the course was fun and in good shape; however, half the greens were good with good speed and the other half were super slow and not as healthy. You do have some blind tee shots on the back nine which is funky if you’ve never played there. Looking forward to playing it again when they finish the renovation and hopefully the greens are better
Under construction
WE LOVE PLAYING THIS COURSE! Right now the 9th and 19th hole is getting re built to have a real pro finish on a 9 hole round or an 18 hole round! I believe it will be a very exciting new finish for this course! I can’t wait to see the results!
Gamblers course. Used all my clubs
Need to tell people about the temporary greens. Not worth the money till repaired
2 temp greens no one’s told us about
Looks like there doing some great work on the course but 80 bucks is too much money to play with temp greens. Looking forward to when the work is done though!
Wolf Creek
Came not expecting much. We were pleasantly suprised. Great layout, really good greens, course was in good condition for the time of year. 9 and 18 are under construction and have abbreviated lengths and temp greens. You can see how they are laying the holes out. It will look great once finished.
Temporary Holes & No alcohol
Holes are 9 & 18 are temporary while under construction, literally putting on a fairway with chalk to outline the “green”. They give you a 10% off the NEXT round you okay there if you bring the receipt, which seemed quite scammy since we were only told about the temporary holes once we got to the course. Also, course does not sell any form of alcohol which was very disappointing for our Saturday round of golf. Course does have potential tho
This course is butt cheeks !!!
First off the round was $60..
Staff told my friend he had to wear professional golf attire and said he’d had to pay $70 for one of their polos. I would’ve paid more for a polo out of goodwill before i pay 70 for the quality of the shirt they had. Luckily i had another one for him.
Hole 9 and 18 are under construction and they moved em up so it’s technically are par 3. You tee off then look at you friends and say “welp that was a good shot but i won’t be putting it cause there is no green!” They got the flag in the middle of the course and got white spray in a circle.
That was the worse 60 i ever spent! No warning or nothing. They must be up charging to cover the expenses of getting everything brand new. I won’t be going back smh
Temporary Greens
The course is going through renovations and has temporary greens on Holes 9 and 18. The green fees should be reduced due to this.
Holes Under Construction
The course has two holes under construction and it takes away from the challenge of the course. It was both par 5 holes, 9 and 18. The make-shift holes were really not greens to play on.
Under construction
The course is nice, well maintained. After rain, the course drains well. However, we should have been informed that holes 9 and 18 were under construction. Because provisional holes were created and the GPS-restricted carts would not allow us to pass certain areas, the routing became confusing and we did not know where to go.
The staff failed to notify us about the construction or the cart restrictions, which was very frustrating. They said the work would be completed in June, but there still appeared to be a significant amount left to do.
Overall, it is a very nice course, but I would not recommend playing while the construction continues. At that price point, guests should be told what to expect and ideally wait until the work is finished.
Do NOT play in Spring of 2026
The course is undergoing significant redevelopment of a couple of holes. This is fine. However, you’re left with two par 3s that are basically just spray painted greens on part of the old fairways. There’s zero signage to tell you where to go around the construction. Additionally, the new cart governors stop you WAYYYYYYY before the signage tells you. Your cart is locked and beeps incessantly.
There was nothing on the booking site to indicate any of this
WAY overpriced considering. We felt ripped off and may never go back.
