Long Day at the Veterans
They need a course ranger. Got stuck behind a foursome who was stuck behind a group of six playing together.
Great layout and conditioning.
Always fun to play. With only a couple of small exceptions, fairways and greens were excellent. They do need new carts, but GA says no money available. It’s still our group’s favorite. WARNING, beware of 13. It’s a mean mammer jammer. It looks docile, but it’s fairly long and very narrow with a ditch in the usual landing zone and a green shaped like a backwards 7 with a gaping grass bunker guarding the back pin placement. Did I say it was mean? My group starts worrying about it at the first tee, but we will be returning often to challenge it and the rest of the lovely course.
Great Shape
Greens and fairways in great shape. Pace of play was good, when we caught up with a larger group they let us play though.
Great course
This is a fun course. There are no surprises. Greens small but excellent. Fairways were perfect. Felt like a big money course.
Small greens but were in perfect condition. Fairways were generous and grass was great.
I loved this course when I played 20 years ago. It is better now. Played during pandemic so everything wasn’t perfect but still enjoyable. I highly recommend this course.
Course in excellent condition greens need to be shaved closer little slow
Front and back starts
Played today. Nice course for the price. Greens a little slow. Was not aware they started on both nines. When I made turn after an early start ran into crowds teeing off.
Fun course
Course was in good shape. Only issue we had were the slow greens. But overall, it was a very fun round.
Fun time
The course was in very good shape. We had a great time!
Great time
Staff was very accommodating to us . Because of Covid 19, proper adjustments were made to course to allow a safe outing. Hats off to the staff.
A great day of golfing!
Had a Friday to play golf and chose Lake Blackshear Golf. Although our area has been drenched with torrential rain, the greens, fairways and rough were in great shape. The greens were in awesome shape and rolled true. A very challenging, very scenic and very fun course.
Great time.
Course was in great shape for January, even after a lot of rain recently. Staff extremely friendly. Can’t wait to play this course again.
Very enjoyable
My wife and I played the course to celebrate our 52nd anniversary. Course has a nice layout with adequate water, plenty of sand, nice greens. Sand traps were wet or full of water due to previous day rain. We stayed at a very nice Best Western in Cordele -- but also have stayed at the Lake Blackshear Resort. Both are super -- one of our favorite and economical getaways.
Great variety of holes and tee blocks for all levels of play
The course was in great shape , greens were fast and bunkers were in good shape .
