West Pines Golf Club

I cannot say enough good things about playing this course yesterday....greens were superb as were the fairways...played this course about 7 years ago and was nothing special but now something wonderful has happened to this course...loved it and will be back...now a part of my ROTA

When I first walked in clubhouse, the attendant was being rude to a customer due to confusion over additional riders and extra carts needed. I was a walk in hoping to get a quick tee time but learned it would be over an hour so I decided it would be cheaper to book with Golf-now as it WD the same as the earliest tee time. The attendant then went on to lecture me about how using Golfnow was risky and I couldn't get a rain check unless the entire course was shutdown. When waiting to tee off I was was paired with a threesome. I was refused my own cart even though I told them I may have to leave early depending on how quick the round went. The marshal was very rude to me about this! The round ended up right at 5 hours which is ridiculous. Plus the greens were very slow and in very bad condition. I've played here quite a bit in the past but I will never return!

Course is ok, a lot of brown frown areas. I have never found the staff especially friendly either. But they usually have good deals and the greens were in pretty good shape. Pace of play is always a problem too. I generally only play public courses so I give this a C+.

Very nice course, not overly crowded. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.

Was pleasantly surprised at the overall condition of the course. Hadn't played it for a couple of years. Fiarways and greens were in very good shape. Definitely plan to return.

Overall, this was a great day and fantastic deal. The course was in excellent shape and plays tough but fair.

My only complaint is that the group in front of us was horribly slow and although we met up with them on more than one tee box, they didn't let us play through.

You might be saying to yourselves that that's not the staff's fault, so consider this...The Marshall not only witnessed the slow play on more than one occasion, he never said a word to them.

Let's just say that it got to be a little more than frustrating.

I have played this course many times and each experience has gotten drastically worse. The Ranger decided to pair me and my buddy up with a twosome which didnt make sense, because the course wasnt crowded. So i simply asked him why he wanted to pair us up and he said in a very rude voice "Because I said so" and gave me a look like he wanted to fight me. Its sad because I have been playing this course for the past couple of years, but i will never return after this incident.

Good layout that helps the pace of play, consistently finish 18 in three hours. Course is in decent shape and repairs are being made to the fairways and some of the bunkers. Staff in general is friendly and polite.

Course is in great shape greens were nice for the price to pay this course is well worth it

The course does have some challenging holes played from the backs. The tee boxes are in ok shape. The fairways are in decent shape. The greens on the other hand are not taken care of by the golfers. Hundreds of un-repaired pitch marks. I had to fix at least one in my putting parh on every hole. The money you pay is ok for the course, id never pay their full price though. Ive played this course 3 or 4 times and its like this every time, just pick up a hot deal time and then its worth playing.

First time playing. .did not know what to expect, very good mix of holes but the greens were in excellent condition. ..well worth the trip

the staff was very unprofessional. "Jim "was a total ao me, was running a little bit late for tee time.advised me that golfNow was not a privilege I could just show up at any time.pretty much told me I cannot golf anymore at the golf now Tee time.

The course greens are rolling very nicely and true. The fairways, bunkers and tee boxes could use some work, but still a good course for the price and can usually get a tee time.

This course was good for a public course. The greens were in good shape. Best bang for your buck in the area.

Course excellent great staff really make you feel welcome.

I was amazingly surprised at the conditions of the course after such terrential rain we had the day before. I was expecting no carts on the fairway. But I didn't encounter any water on the fairway but I did encounter probably the best condition Ive ever seen west pines fairways. The rain the day before had these fairways any their best condition.

Well I don't usually do the reviews and our group plays a lot of golf but decided I should. This course is a great track for the money and the superintendent has done a great job on the greens. Other areas of the course need to be attended to more though. My main reason for wanting to write a review is the lack of hospitality I received when we checking in. I came in said we had a tee time to the young lady. A gentleman who was behind her continued to do something on his calculator for at least a minute or more before checking me in. Then slid the key across the counter and didn’t even say one thing friendly. "Look people in a business the customer is always the number one priority”. I don't care if you’re having a bad day, or hearing about the match play event you’re talking about to a member before you decided to check me in. I’m the customer smile and say hello don't be dry and unpleasant. Your staff truly needs some etiquette work because if one of my employees acted that way you probably wouldn't have a job. It was that unwelcoming.

Had a great round until Mother Nature stepped in with rain and lighting. The greens where fast which made the course exciting. Can't wait to use my rain check and get back out there.

Nice lay out.. Greens are in good shape.. Jay in the clubhouse is a friendly guy.. Fairways can be a little rough at times.. Close and affordable.
