West Pines Golf Club

Very friendly staff. Pace of play was very good although it was a bit of a cool day that kept golfers away. Long par 3's from the tips. Good value for the money.

The course is a great value for the money. It is conveniently located and fun to play.

discourse is always in pretty good shape year-round it's improving everyday

Great to get out to play the day after Christmas. The course was in great shape. The price was perfect.

pretty decent track. elevation changes on about half the holes. a couple of blind tee shots - pay attention to the course map. greens were in great shape.

the only bad thing was the fact that it's winter and leaves had fallen from trees. if you didn't hit the fairway, it was very hard to find your ball as the leaves would camouflage your ball or it would nestle down in the bermuda. so, i lost a few balls i hadn't planned on losing only missing the fairway by a few yards.

really a decent track though and in nice condition -- it would be a tough track to walk though and the ninth hole doesn't end at the clubhouse, so make sure you pack a sandwich or hit the bev cart a few times.

Paired up with 3 gentlemen. had a great time lots of laughs. at each other naturally.

I am 9 and my wife is 19 handicap and we both enjoyed the course vert much. A challenge in many respects but not overly so. Greens and fairways in good nick. We had a problem with out tee booking (I booked the wrong day with golfnow) so called the course on the morning we wanted to play. They couldn't have been more helpfull "just come along at about 12.00 and we will fit you in", and they did. A good value course.

I love playing this course on occasion, but dealing with some of the staff is like pulling teeth. I know some people in the golf community can be stuck up, but I lived in Beaufort, SC for 5 years and played some really nice courses in Hilton Head and Bluffton. Every time I went to one of these courses they always treated their guest as such and made them feel welcome, and if anybody should be stuck up in the golf community I would say it would be the people that work at courses where actual PGA professionals play, but no I get that at my local home course 5 and 1/2 hours away from where the pros play.

I found the greens and fairways to be in excellent shape. Course does not have senior tees and I was paired with two players who played from the white tees. I probably should have played from the forward tees because I found the course challenging with alot of uneven lies.

This course was in excellent shape. I have not played here in 20 years but I plan to return and put this down as a regular spot to play. The Par 3s were challenging and 4 of the holes you might want to lay up instead of making efforts to clear water hazards. Laying up was smarter for me. One birdie, 4 pars, the rest bogies but a great round. you will enjoy this one in Douglasville

The greens had been aerated but they were still in good shape. I love playing this course

This is a great course but on the day I played they were air rating the greens so we had 2 play same back nine holes twice.... Was not reported 2 golf now.... We didn't find this out until starting our tee time

Had a great time. The tee time was spot on and finished playing pretty quickly. Food and beverage could be better, or be available for a longer time.

i am a 12 handicap, and I haven't played very many courses in GA as challenging. Because of the rolling hills, and elevated tees, makes it a must to hit a reachable tee shot if you don't reach the 150 mark on the par 4's. The par 5's are reachable with good course management. The combination of the above makes this an enjoyable and challenging golf experience for the conasiure of the golf experience.

If you are playing it for the first time it can be tough with all the hills and creeks. Unless you know the course you could find trouble quick. Front 9 especially. Not a bad golf course just the layout is a little odd unless you like blind shots all day

I hadn't been to West Pines in about a year and a half and was surprised to find how great the greens and fairways were. Hardly ever a bad lie in the fairways and the greens rolled true and with great pace. The few times I found myself in a bunker I had no problems with the dams conventions, especially after all the reason we've had in the area. Will be back soon to play some more. The only thing I would change about this course would be to change the 18th hole to be #1and the 17th to become the 18th.

Course is in Great shape, Greens roll very nice and they have nice fairways.
Need to tell people to use sand in their divots!
On paper course is only 6800, but it plays a lot longer and there are some forced carries.
Sand Traps need work.
Staff not that friendly, but the course is enjoyable and they keep the pace up.

The management did a poor job controlling pace of play. Management also did not care when guests drove their carts on or next to the green. It took so long that I did not even get to finish my round.

Really like the course and staff. With Golf Now its a fantasic value as the practice areas are great. Greens are soft so people RERALLY need totake care to fix ball marks and not trample on them but the overall experience was great!

Good course but compared to others in the area it can be pricey for what you're getting.
