Dog Track
Played in May 2016. I had a gift card for the round but I had to pay $ 15 in cart fees. That was about $ 14.50 too much. Horrible shape. Sad, as it's a decent layout. 2nd to worst shape golf course I've ever played.
Do not play
The course is not worth ....the price. Maybe next year after its fixed.
Course
It's a nice course and some chances to make different shot choices.
Better than a day of work...
The staff was courteous and professional. The play was slow due to a couple slower small groups ahead of us. The course layout and design are nice, the fairways were like playing off concrete. While I tried to avoid them, the sand traps were more like clay pits. All in all, the price I paid for 18 holes and a cart, the value was good.
Sloooooooowwww
Greens were excellent. Fairways were good. layout was nice - some shot making challenges - gave you opportunities to not hit driver every hole.
Pace of play was awful - I started as a single, pushed up against a group that was having problems . I was at tee box as they teed off - they didn't offer to let me play through. I met up with group behind me . We waited on every hole - stacked up with other groups behind us - 5 hours and 30 minutes.
Rolling around Creekside
I had only played this course once last Summer. I remembered that it had a lot of character & it still does. This includes some interestingly designed holes, undulating greens & scenery. The front 9 is pretty tight on several holes and demands accuracy with tee shots. The back 9 is a little more forgiving. I thought tee to green the course was in good shape. You can see some spots on "some" greens that might've been a fungus of some sort at one time. But it;s healing nicely. You can also tell by the overall condition of the greens that they are lush and roll true.
I had a blast today and paired up with a twosome. We had a great time playing the best game ever. .I'll be back soon
Greens Are Looking Rough
Used to play here quite frequently, but this was my first time playing here in about 6 months. The pace of play was good, but that was expected mid-afternoon on a Thursday. Had a good time, but the tee boxes and greens are in ROUGH shape. It seemed like I had to move my ball a few feet on every green just to move away from a large dead spot between my ball and the hole.
Good value but a few hiccups
As many have noted in the past, it would be great if the course notified the players that the greens have been recently aerated and/or sanded. It's no fun when you pull up to the first green and see sand all over the green. A little more transparency would be great.
Course is a little quirky. You need to be fairly accurate off the tee on many of the holes, there is not much room for error.
Fun Course
This course has it all and is my favorite in this area. The front nine is a thinking man's hole with blind tee shots. Can't just use your driver to bully your way around the course. The back nine is wide open where you can grip it and rip it. The greens are coming back to where they were years ago. The best part about the course are the fun little par 3' that follow some real difficult par 4's. This course is real fun to play, it has something for everyone.
Greens need some tlc
We played at our own pace. Fairways were nice, but the greens had some bad patches.
Best Course West of Atlanta
This is a fun course to play. The front nine is a thinking man's game. Narrow fairways and blind hazards from the tee box. Can't bully your way around the course with a driver. The back nine is more open with long par 5s and fun driving holes. The best part about the course though are the short, but challenging par 3's. This course has it all! I played the twilight at 4pm and got through 18 holes no problem, no wait ! The greens are about back to where they were years ago. This course is well maintained and cared for, in a beautiful setting, and well worth the cost. Just an all around great golf course.
Fun Track Needs Work
There are enough challenging and interesting holes to bring me back, staff is very friendly, but the cart paths are in very bad shape and course maintenance has deteriorated over the past few years. There were several crews working to knock down overgrown areas.
One day I will reach the green on #14, a monster par 4. 18 is a definite birdie opp but green is surrounded by water...
balding greens
I have been playing here since age 10 .Since then I ha e seen a decline in course management and staff. I witnessed the golf club superintendent drinking on the job, enjoyed a microwaved hot dog which I payed $3.20 for, and was told that they were out of my first 3 choices of liquor. The greens were in very poor shape and the yardages were off by as much as 80yards .Who am I kidding. They have a deer dummy on their driving range . To anybody that yous .Looking to play here I would suggest to find another place.
This course has a good layout
Although the overall layout of this course is good, it has some very short holes that you can take advantage of. The greens are healing from being burnt to a crisp this summer and are still rough and hard to putt on.
Creekside - good value for the $
The greens were aerated & also experienced a lot of rain .The course is a fun risk vs. reward type course. Dry weather will help to return it to optimum shape!
Challenge at Creekside
The course is very challenging for me. Considering the time of year the course was in great condition. Although I did not play well I still enjoyed the course and the level of the challenge.
I especially enjoy playing in North Georgia compared to South Florida. Hill and dales make a big difference.
Greens dying
Tee and greens good, greens were dying off. Sand spots and dead grass all over the greens. Cost me at least 4 strokes throughout the round. My buddy did eagle 18, so I can't say it was all terrible. Better courses to play for the money.
$$ good value but...
Greens here have had a serious problem for months. Fungus or disease unsure, however the shape of the greens should be called bad with 2 or 3 not playable due to condition. Otherwise fun course. I really like the course and have played it many times but rate it so low only due to the condition of greens.
Do not waste your time or money.
Over the years, I have played here a number of times. It is usually a good value. However, today the greens were in very bad shape. I would pass on this one until conditions improve.
Enjoyable Riund
We found the course to be very enjoyable and I will definitely be back. If I had a negative critique it would be the greens were awful on about 7 holes; if that gets remedied this course would be a preferred for me Andy playing partners.
Thanks for playing and the greens are coming along. 40+ days of 90+ heat really knocked them for a loop! We are looking better each day!
Thanks again!
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
Thanks for playing and the greens are getting better. 43 days of straight 90+ weather knocked them out. We will be back so don't give up on us.
