Good value
Course conditions are beyond excellent. If this is your first time to play, be prepared for blind shots and areas where local knowledge is key. Some holes have a bad design. Overall it is a wonderful place with great greens and friendly staff. I will go back again.
Great bang for buck
Difficult narrow holes coupled with well kept greens.
Great experience!
Very pleasant day! My brother in town for the first time, I wanted to make sure I picked a good course to enjoy. You passed with flying colors! I appreciated Timmy in the pro shop who was able to get us started a little sooner and also the 2 foursome groups ( that we're club members) let us play through. I don't usually rush golf but we had some travel plans that hurried us along! We were able to get 18 in because of your staff and members! I've been looking for a nice friendly course to play since I've moved in the area a couple years ago. Seriously considering joining! Great job guys. Thank you for a pleasant day. Oh and by the way you owe me 2 balls! On that par 5 on the back! Keep up the good work! Lou Camp
Great layout
Like the difference in the front and back nine, loved the island green on 18. ( I birdied it) look forward to playing there again soon
Tricky to navigate first time out
Lots of blind tee shots and tricked up holes with tight fairways. You'd be well served to play your first round here with someone who knows the course. Greens were the highlight for me as they were in excellent condition and rolled perfectly. The marshalls don't appear to actually try to speed up play. Course doesn't come back to the clubhouse which presents a problem with the policy that prohibits outside beverages. Also no cart girl. And the beverage machine after the 9th hole was sold out of water. Not having anything to drink for 4+ hours was a real buzzkill, or would have been but since I didn't have any beer to drink, there was no buzz to kill. Load up in the snack bar ahead of time and you should be fine. Overall a decent course and good deal for the money. There are 3 or 4 holes that are particularly picturesque.
Use the Bag
Fun course that has plenty of challenging lies and interesting hoes - all levels will use from a long iron through driver over the 18 holes. Greens had been punched a week ago, but they were in decent shape for our round.
Lets do it it again
Course is nice, in good shape.
nice trips from one hole to another.
over the river and thru the woods
gives a chance to breathe in between
tee boxes.
Ok Day
The course was in good shape. some bunkers had no sand and some had too much sand. Rough was a little too high in some spots. The guy at the front desk must have been having a bad day because he wasn't friendly at all. Made me feel like we weren't welcomed. All in all the course was in decent shape and the pace was good.
Great Course
This is an excellent course, but it is a little challenging. Thank goodness we were paired with someone who knew the course and was able to tell us what to watch out for.
Staff was friendly and pace of play was great. The signature hole (18) is without a doubt one of the prettiest I've ever played on. You'll enjoy yourself for sure.
Monday play
My friend from out of town came in too play some golf, just moved into the area and thought we would play a round, this was a great experience and the conditions were great from tee to green. Staff was supper as well
Slow!!
I like the course and even though it had rained a lot in the morning it was in good shape. Unfortunately management lets the members run roughshod over over the course. Even though there was probably less then 30 players on the course the round took 51/2 hours. They let a 6some go initially (were done at the 9th hole) and then I had to play two groups behind a 4some who could not play faster the 5/12 hours. at the 17th hole they chose to team up with the twosome behind them to finish as a 6some. At the very least they should have waived us through but as I stated the members here are pretty selfish so we slogged along. This is not the first time this has happened. I would not bring a 4 some here and I would not play here late mornings since its loaded with members at that time. As a single it can be good but always look at the tee sheet ahead of time.
Bargain for the money
This was my second time out on this tract. Bettered my score by 3 strokes. It is a course that you should get better by playing it more. There's a few holes that you need to have a shot placement mentality. With that being said you will enjoy the grip it and rip mentality on a few holes as well. The course was in decent shape. My only real complaint is that some of the holes had missing grass around the cart path, hit it in the fairway and you'll enjoy the plush grass. The missing grass is mainly due to carts, etc.,. I wish we'd have seen a cart girl on a Friday afternoon but that wasn't a huge deal breaker. Enjoy the different shots needed to score well. Great course.
Pros and Cons
Overall, this is a great course. It's a great challenge for me, being that I haven't played for too long. Definitely plan on loosing a few balls, lots of thick bushes and water. Some of the fairways slope sideways, so a ball hit straight down the middle will inevitably roll off into the rough or woods. Sand traps could use some attention, and there are a few bad spots on the fairways. Great course to improve your game. Will definitely continue playing it.
Good Course Remove Turtle Pace
Course in GREAT shape (Greens Are Good), bunkers a little hard, but overall good shape. some nice intimidating Tee shots from back tees.
PACE WAS WAY TOO SLOW FOR A WEEKDAY ($40 a little steep during the week for slow play), On the weekend I understand, but during the week you should finish a round under 4 hours. No Cart girl
Great vourse
This was an outstanding course one of my favorites I've ever played, only thing is I wished they had food and drink on the course somewhere for purchase!
This course has challenging holes and variety.
I would recommend this course to beginners and experienced alike. Lots of features and well worth the price.
Excellent Course
The course was in excellent condition and the staff was friendly. No problem in getting off on number 1 soon after arriving. Great rates for those that want to become members. I intend to play there regularly.
Creekside
Tough course. Bring plenty of balls. Overall enjoyed it. Far away from the city, but worth the drive
Short, but challenging
While being fairly short, this course presented different and interesting challenges on every hole. Driving under control was a necessity, often needing to position drives on a particular side of the fairway. There were surprises that a first-time player will suffer from--my "perfect" drive on #11 landed in water that I was unaware of. Overall, the course was in outstanding condition. The greens were fast and undulating, but true.
Pace of play
Appreciate the Marshall keeping the slow groups moving on a crowded day.
