Great find near Augusta Georgia

Just a few miles drive and this course will be a great find. From the driving and putting ranges to the fairways and greens. Layout is excellent. Very affordable experience.

Great value and super fun

We enjoyed playing at Applewood and would definitely recommend it. Enjoyed the chipping green and the putting green before heading out for a very relaxing round. Staff was friend and helpful.

Excellent conditions

Had a negative experience at Aiken GC earlier in the day, so went here since I have a tournament coming up at this course in a couple of weeks. So glad I made the trip.

Let’s start with the greens. They did aerate a couple weeks ago but greens were fully recovered, rolled true and were nice and green. Far cry from AGC which aerated Memorial Day weekend and are still bumpy and also burned out. Fairways and tees had not been mowed but I get that. When you shave tee boxes in a drought, it never ends well.

Played by myself in less than 3:30. Greens held nicely and staff/players were courteous which Is always welcome. I would definitely make the drive again for a superior golf experience.

Greens

They had just veri-cut the front nine and were preparing to aerate right behind me. Greens were basically un-puttable on the front. The back nine was a bit more puttable but a bit firm. I know the aeration will help down the road but a heads up in the Golf Now app would have been beneficial. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me through Golf Now.
