Greens in great shape go play!
Fantastic greens, tee boxes a little sandy and burnt...fairways cut real short. Loved the layout and the absolutely perfect putting greens.
Greens are superb
Dry as a bone so if you don't carry the hills on your shots expect them to roll all the way back down. That 250 yd drive can quickly become a booming 125 yarder! Greens are perfect and hold the line well. Hopefully the rain coming Saturday will make this a real joy by next week. Worth the drive in the country. Great folks! Enjoy!
Celebrating my wife's Birthday
Our favorite course in Georgia. Another great day on the course with spring getting close. The trees are slowly getting their first canopy of emerald green leaves. The fairways are hardening up and you are getting that extra roll. The blue tees are now moved back for summer play, and that increased temperature helps that ball fly a little longer through the air. You still have to hit it hard on #3, #12 and #16 to get up the hill and clear the gully's. This is always a great course to play and a great test of golf to challenge all your game. Don't choke because it is always a mess to clean up. Your scorecard will not like it. Have fun hit it long and straight.
Nothing special
Course hasn’t greened up yet. Wasn’t in the best shape. The greens were extremely slow couldn’t hit a putt hard enough. They was having a middle school match later in the day could’ve had something to do with it. Played here many times probably the worst shape I’ve seen it. But oh well not an awful deal for $13
Always good conditions and pace of play. Course not greened up yet so expect some hard ground in areas with not ideal ball lie.

First time playing, won't be the last
I played this course because it is on Golf Advisor's Top 25 of Georgia list. It is a mountain course even though it’s not really in the mountains with several holes having deep drops or big hills. There is one par 5 with a split fairway that you have to be far left or right to avoid the trees in the middle. Due to the drop offs and woods close to the fairway you need to be accurate off the tee. The greens were in excellent shape. There was no food except candy and drinks. The ranger and pro shop staff were very friendly. I will play this course again after the grass greens for the summer. Excellent value for the money.
Wonderful day at the end of winter
The course was in excellent condition with fairways hard and fast and the greens rolling pure. First time I have ever driven the green on hole number 2 from the blue tees and I am a senior rate golfer. My wife included had one of her best rounds ever driving off the tee on 11, 13 and 17 with less than 50 yards to the greens. Always a great course, and this time of the year the fairways have not yet grown in; so they roll hard like out west in Texas or New Mexico. Take yourself to highland and enjoy a great course.
Great value
For the price it can't be beat. Late winter so conditions were only fair although the greens were good for the time of year. Few people to impede play. Staff is a mixed bag, some really friendly others not so much. Could use more and newer ball washers. Carts are ok. Some holes require placement more than distance. Greens are undulating some are deceptive in the breaks.
Good greens
Greens were very good. Course definitely wet in a bunch of areas but that is COMPLETELY understandable this time of year.
Very nice layout
One really nice public course, well worth the one hour drive. We played a day after a full day of rain with freezing rain overnight. The course wasn’t wet at all by noon. We played 18 without anyone in front or behind us.
The course had plenty of hills and rolling fairways. It was challenging and fun! We will need to comeback in the spring/summer. Quite a difference from Ohio this time of year.....
