Long way to go

I love the layout of this course and always have. Haven’t played there in almost a year and conditions were marginal then. Played today expecting a lot of improvement. To be fair we had a spot of rain last nite but nothing that would a golf course as soggy as it was today. Cart paths are horrible and there are detours everywhere because some of the paths are impassable. Greens are ok but not what I would call good. Very disappointed and won’t be back.

I played here recently and the greens are indeed good, contrary to what you inaccurately wrote. Maybe you're a member of Augusta National, I guess.

Wet. But course was in good shape

It was pouring rain at my tee time but the course was gracious in allowing us to move it back an hour. By then it was still raining and I tried to cancel the round. I couldn't do it online because it was past me original tee time. I called to cancel but no answer. On my 2nd call I chose the have you call me back, which you did TWO HOURS LATER. So how was my round, it was wet and miserable and my wife refused to play!

call day, but still enjoyed the course

Course has improved over the last year and a half. However, it could still use a few additional upgrades. Golf carts are a little bit rough condition and there are some areas off the greens that need some additional sod. Greens were in really good condition though.

A welcome comeback

Southbridge was one of the best public access courses in the Savannah area. In the 90’s it was the place to play.

Unfortunately due to whatever circumstances it had fallen in to disrepair and sadly wasn’t worth an avid golfers time. Well, I’m extremely happy to say those days are over.

The club was bought by the residents of Southbridge community and it appears they have been working hard to see the courses return to what it once was and deserves to be.

An early Rees Jones design that is very playable. Calls for all your shots just a truly great layout, fair but challenging and all you can handle from the back tees while providing a fair test from the multiple forward tees.

Kudos to Mike Butler and the rest of your staff.

You’re well on your way to the return to the top.

If you’re in the area. Don’t miss it.

Fun Day

Greens had a lot of debris from the wind. Workers were trying hard to get them cleared. Overall a good experience.

Good shape

Haven’t been here since early this year. Course is in pretty good shape considering how dry it’s been. Grass and greens are good. Only problem was an extremely slow foursome ahead of us who thought they were in the Masters. Otherwise, I’ll be back.

Challenging layout, large undulating greens

I always enjoy playing Southbridge, good value for your dollar.. Greens are particularly challenging. Course was in nice shape. Multiple tee box options. Quality golf course.

Great winter condition

My wife and I played the back 9. Greens were in great winter condition. The cart paths continue to deteriorate. I hope that they are in their capital plan. The electric carts are nice, but they need a really good cleaning.
