Southbridge Savannah Golf Club

The track at Southbridge has always be. A fav of mine. But the greens wore always a point of contention. However, about three weeks ago the greens were lush and as playable as I have ever witnessed. The greens today appeared to be stressed and not as responsive as they were a few weeks back.. Come on Southbridge, don't let the greens slip away.

The course was in great condition. The fairways were good with a very punitive rough. The greens were as good as I have experienced there. The work going on at Southbridge is beginning to pay dividends. The course is a legitimate high value course.

Would not recommend course now due to wet conditions from heavy rain earlier in the week. Grass at places was very deep and we lost a ball right in front of the 16 green and another just off the fairway. There were no fairways being mowed while we were there.

Course, fairways and greens were in rough shape. Rained hard for two days prior and I’d like to think this is the reason. Drainage must be an issue on this course. It was our first time here so we have nothing to compare to. Despite the extra challenges it was great as always to be out playing golf.

Southbridge golf courseIs in pretty good shape the greens had a few bad areas and the cart paths had a few Concrete issues but they are fixing them a little bit at a time. Overall the course was very good and enjoyable.

Incredible improvements have been made in a years time. Early this year the greens were in rough shape with the cold, wet spring. With the warmer temps, the bermuda has taken off and the greens are really filling in nicely. Great value and the layout is very challenging from whatever tees you choose. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is not a better course for the money around.

Always a pleasure to play. Greens are in good shape. The abundance of rain has put the grounds crew in full mow mode. They working diligently to get the course in perfect condition. Tell them thanks when you see them.

I played this course over a month ago and the greens were in poor shape. Now the greens are in much better shape and overall the course is in pretty good condition. The course is worth it’s value. And once again the layout is nice but it can be somewhat of a tough course that can be unforgiving.

Loved the course, great layout and staff very friendly.

I look forward to returning again.

Greens were in bad shape in several areas, but the rest of the course looked very nice. But please, work on the greens.
