Southbridge Savannah Golf Club

The first thing you realize is how beautiful the hole is. The second thing is the joke of a green. It’s like putting on concrete . It’s not tournament style, it’s ludicrous. Course needs to repair every square foot of pathway too. I would t pay more than $25 to golf here.

Course was wide open most of the day. Since it was hot, the greens were dry. First time playing this course but my son and I enjoyed it immensely. I will play when back in Savannagh.

The cart barn guy was profiling me because of my vehicle I guess being it wasn't new as the other ones. The course was not all that great. You can tell the was no winter rye grass put on the greens so therefore the greens played very fast. The rough is not maintained at all. Bunkers are being taken over by grass . The maintenance crew definitely needs to step up there game. I worked at a golf course and you can tell the maintenance crew needs to be talked to. And the bathroom was gross.

This course seems to be getting better with each visit. Tee boxes and bunkers still need a little work, but the fairways are in pretty good shape. Greens were extremely fast -- downhill putts were impossible to judge. Southbridge has added a very friendly cart girl -- great addition! -- and my playing partners said the bar staff was outstanding (although I didn't go in for a drink myself). The course needs a starter at #1 to manage tee times, but other than that, it seems to be a nice place to play.

This course is a worrk in progress. Greens were superfast, painfully fast, fairways improving, Cartpaths are really bad in places and need repair. Good value.

I know this course is going through some issues with ownership. The residents are trying their best but yesterday they suffered a major glitch.

They allowed a blitz to go out at 8:30 with single carts. That meant at least five groups had to wait at least 30 minutes each to get out. The pro shop was very apologetic about the delay and the rest of the day was uneventful.

Pace of play was fine until my twosome caught up to a threesome who waited waaaay too long to tee off considering they were struggling off the tee. The course is still late to green up and the greens had residual weedy spots making putting frustrating.

I love the layout and will play the course many times this summer.

I am happy to report that this course is making a comeback. I took it out of my rotation a few years ago because it was a swamp. The new management is bringing it back and they clearly are putting some effort into it. The greens are improving and the fairways are coming back. Great job!

A well established course with early spring conditions providing nice fairways and greens. Extremely fast on the putting surface...a tough 2putt on a long putt for this first time player. (Usually love these greens). Loved the layout and plenty of room on most of the holes to allow a stray shot. Definitely worth a play!

Course showing great improvement since new management took over

Course shape improving after all the rain in February and early March. Well maintained and decent challenges.

Unfortunately, this course appears to be on a deteriorating trend. We played here a few times a couple of years ago and the course was fine. The greens and fairways now are bad and many of the sand traps are unplayable..

The layout of the course is really nice which makes the condition even more sad. This course needs some serious attention but it could be really nice again.

Since the takeover there is a huge difference in the course. Finally dried out and 90 degree rule in affect, unfortunately the avg. Joe doesn't know or care to know. The pace was slow today since Wyatt told the first groups it was cart path only, but to see the members a few holes back driving in the rough?,,,,People still dont fill divots. WATCHED and waited while two ladies hacked it up. Nice day out but way too slow. Tees and fairways were playable and greens quick due to the cold weather, still poa patches on them. Some bunkers still under water. Nice job on some bridge repair. HOA is doing a good job....in time will be nice.

Course needs some TLC. Layout is interesting and challenging. Condition of fairways and greens need water and fertilizer. Most bunkers are marked unplayable and need complete overhaul. Pace of play was affected by a foursome of non golfers trying to learn the game. Had no concept of allowing faster groups to play through (which would have been everyone!)

Played both days this weekend and it was wet which is fine. Cart path only marked in the clubhouse at the register, stapled to the scorecard, and posted on the 1st and 10th tee box but yet almost everybody is riding all over the fairways rutting it up.

Mentioned it to a member of the staff at the turn but still no enforcement on either days.

Pace of play was also very slow. Seems they need to book tee times further apart or have a start master. Saturday we had a 12:31 tee time and didn’t hit our first ball until 12:53.

This is a very fun course to play and was thinking about a membership but after seeing the way they let people abuse the course I might pass.

First off......the course needs alot of work. Tees, fairways ,greens and traps. They are under new management so i understand the magnitude of work it needs. Not to shame anyone just being honest. I think by summer it will much better. Greens were hard to navigate all the poa patches on them. In my past, tees and greens and fairways mowed would bring more play if the were consistent. Also, mother nature has not coperated. Good luck., love the track. See you back in the summertime.

Course was in pretty good shape. Some greens needed work but overall was good play but weather over the last week and today necessitated cart-path only which never is a good thing.
