Overall great experience even though wet in places. Super friendly staff.

Not my first time on this course. Improved greens over the summer. Improved driving range. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend for all levels of play. Good mixture of doglegs, and moderate to difficult holes throughout the course. Great scenery.

Southbridge is a very nice layout.

I played it twice during a recent late--October trip to Savannah, once from the blues and once from the whites. For a real-estate development course, it's a very nice layout and I found it to be appropriately challenging for a 14. It has the worst cart paths I've ever been on, but that is a quibble. Play was fairly slow both times and I never saw a ranger. But overall, I found the course to be in good shape for late fall and I enjoyed both rounds. I consider it to be a very good value.

Very nice course, will return

I'm very new to the sport but a friend and I had a great time at this course. We played 9 holes late in the afternoon. Course is maintained well and offers good variety. Will definitely return. Had a drink at the clubhouse afterwards... bartender was super friendly and fun to chat with. Overall a great experience.

Good value for the price.

Course was in very good condition. Play was a little slow, we were put between a tournament, but didn't mind. We were in no hurry. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely play there again. Would also recommend it to friends. Good value for the money.

Fun Course. Great Staff.

I really enjoy this course. The cart paths are rough but the course itself is in great shape. Some beautiful holes.

Definitely hit the bar afterward. Jillian and Jessica make the stop worthwhile. And if you happen to play on a Thursday, there is a nice and inexpensive buffet you should not miss.

The course has locations that are in need of attention, which the maintenance staff has marked as ground under repair.

The cart paths are in horrible condition, if they don't make that a priority in the next 3-6 months it will cost the owner more to repair the carts. It's definitely a safety hazard for the staff and the patrons.

Nice day on the golf course!

Had a nice day on the golf course. What day on the course isn't a good day? The course was in good shape after some heavy rains recently. No standing water except in bunkers, but bunkers at most public courses are not in great shape. Pace of play was excellent. No one pushing us and we weren't pushing anyone. Played in 3 hours, which is great as I play better faster....

This is my favorite course in Savannah and I will be back.

One of Savannah's best courses

Lots of rain lately so traps weren't in great shape but I don't think it was the fault of the course maintenance. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens all in great shape!

One of the better public courses in the area

The course is maintained very well and even with the high amount of recent rainfall the fairways and greens were still cut and looked great.

rain, rain

The Southbridge area has been getting hit by a good bit of rain. The day I went play it rained for about 20 mins before I went out, so I new the course was going to be wet. I've played Southbridge when its been dry and it plays much different with fast greens, but wet, it becomes water world. All the sand traps turn into pond with not one of them being without a good deal of water in it. The ponds were over filled by 10 to 20 feet past they're marks coming out to the fairways. Every low spot on the fairway and rough hasd standing water that would instantly stop your ball. All and all, it still was a tough course that just needs better drainage. I did say it has rain a good bit.

This course is in generally good condition. The greens have a few dry spots on them but are in generally good condition.

This course is in above average condition. It has a great layout with fun par 3s. My only problems was with the cart paths. They are in terrible shape. They need to be completely repaved.

Course was lots of fun, disappointed in the staff.

We had the 7:36 tee time for Southbridge on 7/20/2013 (Saturday). Golf course was easy to find and check in was a breeze. We got out range balls headed out to grab a cart and go pick up our clubs. As we are loading our clubs one of the staff approaches on a cart to ask where we had taken the cart from. We told him right outside the club house and he informed us that those carts were for the "Blitz" (This word was the theme of the day) we mentioned that the staff inside said to grab a cart and he dismissed us saying "Oh you guys are out of town, you don't know any better." Thought this was quirky but we hit range balls and then headed to the 1st tee. I spoke with the starter and he mentioned that the "Blitz" was today and that we needed to keep up our pace of play. The "Blitz" is apparently Southbridge's Saturday golf outing for the locals, guess they had a good turn out Saturday. We teed off a few minutes before 7:36 at the starters approval and off we went. I chose to play the Gold Tees (Tips) due to the course playing roughly 100 yds longer than the tees I play at my home course. The other two people that I played with teed off from the white tees. There was a two-some that played in front of us and we were able to keep pace with them all day, minus gaps after par 3's. The course marshall made his first appearance of the day on hole number 3, we said hello and he mentioned pace of play, although the two-some in front of us had just teed off on that hole and we were waiting for the fairway to clear. By the third green we noticed a two-some of women behind us that played behind us all day, only having to wait on par 3 tee boxes while we finished out. From Hole 3 to Hole 14, we were approached by and spoken to by the course marshall and starter approximately 6 times with the starter riding one hole with us. We made the turn at 9 in 1 hour and 45 minutes. This was also the first and only time we saw the beverage cart. On hole 14 I had had enough of the badgering from the on course staff. I told the course marshall that if guests are expected to play faster than 3 1/2 hour rounds of golf then that should be clearly called by the course and that I would appreciate him not riding us around the golf course. This was the last time we saw either of the on course staff. It was obvious that our tee time was not important to the course staff, only getting us out of the way for the "Blitz" We walked off 18 having been on the course for 3 1/2 hours on the dot. I carded an 84 and the other two guys I played with shot a 93 an 102. I consider a 3 1/2 hour round with a three-some to be more than acceptable and faster than anticipated pace of play.
The course itself was lots of fun. Savannah like the rest of the southeast has had quite a bit of rain lately, so we expected the course to be soft. There wasn't much roll to be had anywhere on the course and the rough was quite tough. The greens were where this course really surprised me. The greens were excellent and extremely consistent. A good putt was rewarded. The greens have a sneaky amount of break as well. As someone who prefers to walk (This round was played with a cart), this course would be extremely difficult to walk. There are several holes that you have to drive a good distance between greens and tee boxes.
Overall, I would recommend this course to my fellow golfers. I just wouldn't recommend an early Saturday round. This was my first GOLFNOW.com experience, looking forward to more.

The greens are some of the best in the Savannah area!

I really enjoyed playing southbridge golf course. The fairways were tall enough so you could get good spin on the ball going into their fast greens. Don't get above the hole here! Price could be a little friendlier on the weekend but beside that, all good!!!

Wonderful Course

This course was played a day after rain storm, and the only thing that showed there was any king of storm was the sand traps. Over all I must admit the place looked and played great. I would not have ever came to play here if it wasn't for Golfnow and their hot deal of the day. "Great Price " .
