Nice course, easy to play even with cart-path-only restrictions.
Fox Creek Golf Course
Great course to play if you want finish in less than four hours as long as the players are playing at a good pace.
Good time
We had a great time. It was packed but the club still let us go on early. Only saw the cart girl once but that's okay.
Fox Creek in Dec
Fox Creek in Dec is winter rules. The downed leaves make finding the ball hard if you go there. Not many players that day so it went quick ( 3 hours). The course has enough difficulty that can raise your score. It is in good shape with the winter overseed on the tees. Greens are turning brown but roll smooth. Staff are friendly and helpful. When the weather is right it is a good way to get in a round to keep your shot making and putting sharp.
Good for the price
The only major issue I have with playing here is how they compulsively group together foursomes at any and all costs with no regard for how it affects individual group's pace of play.
We were paired up into a foursome, which is no big deal, but were soon having to let through a few singles and twosomes. Could have easily let our groups go off separately and avoided our foursome slowing things up for other groups and ourselves.
It took 4 of us 5 entire hours to play this executive course.
Also, if you're busy enough to be grouping everyone up then you are absolutely busy enough to have a cart girl bringing beer and snacks around.
Course is in good shape. Driving range is okay.
Fun round
It has some difficult areas, but it is a fun course to play. It has enough length, but it is kind of short overall.
A pleasurable round of golf!
We have played Fox Creek several times and have always enjoyed the experience. The course layout Is a drawing point for us with a good mix of par 4s and not-so-easy par 3s. Smooth greens and manicured fairways add to enjoyment. We plan on continuing to play Fox Creek.
Great layout
This course is much more challenging than its sister course Legacy. The greens seem to have more contour and therefore putting is much more challenging. It has a nice mix of par 3s, 4s, and even a par 5. It's nice to be able to use most clubs in the bag on an executive course. Course was very wet from several days rain and some areas had standing water. All in all it's a challenging test of golf on a very nice layout. Several pins were cut into mounds/tiers in the green which made them somewhat unfair with the speed of the greens rolling so quickly. I will definitely recommend this course and will play here again soon.
A nice executive course
In very good condition and not crowded. Very short course, but well worth the cost.
NEW CLUBHOUSE IS GREAT
Great rounds of golf on a well conditioned course. Can't wait to come back and play in one of their leagues soon. Driving range has plenty of room to warm up! The new clubhouse is something you must see. They are putting time and money into this facility and it is apparent!
Fun Time!
A great little course that provides some challenging shots of all varieties!
Best Value in Atlanta
Fox Creek is absolutely the best value in Atlanta. You can get on this course for under $30 with cart, it is a terrific driving range, and is only 5 minutes up the road from me. When I don't feel like driving out to Cobblestone or City Club Marietta and paying $60 a pop, Fox Creek it is. The course is way nicer than you might expect from a local public, almost everyone is friendly, and it'll just be a great experience. Previous reviews are correct in that on a couple holes you should be ready to duck, but overall this is a fantastic place to practice and a solid place to play.
3 first time guest
The course in manicured and maintained well. I always enjoy playing here and my three first time guest we're well pleased. With the quality of the course ant the price.
Decent Couse
Grass could have used a cutting. Green in decent shape looks like the last person that mowing had a tough time with the blades.
Will not ever play here again
Close to my work, pass it everyday so I thought I'd give it a try. It's par 62 so I knew it would be short and I did play on a weekend so I knew it would be packed. What I didn't know was a 3 1/2hr for the front nine!!! I have played over 200 rounds of golf and it has never been this slow. It wasn't just cause of a group or two they packed the course out, and were letting groups of 6 to play! I will not play here again, got a rain check for the back nine if anyone wants it. Course is prob fine during the week, but stay clear on the weekends!!
Foxcreek has turned into a nice golf course again
They have put a lot of work into renovating this golf course and it shows. I have been playing this course several times a year for over a decade and it used to be a dump, but it is quite nice now. The greens are in great shape, there is a new sand in the bunkers, and the wooded areas have been cleaned of all the underbrush and garbage that prevent you from finding wayward Tee shots. However, this golf course is still dangerous. There are a lot of beginners out there, and the holes often run adjacent to one another with little wooded buffer between them. Be prepared to take cover a few times.
