New ownership has some work to do
The course is pretty decent. Good greens, nice fairways but the tee boxes... some of them are pure dirt and most are so hard you have a hard time getting your tee into the ground.
Got paired up with two nice dudes that told me the course (and its sister next door Legacy Links) have been sold and that major renovations will be made.
Hopefully they will include new tee boxes because the course itself is pretty nice.
Fun Course, Reasonably Priced
I played this course with a friend of mine. The pace of play was awesome. We finished 18 holes in less than 3 hours. Greens were in good shape. Some of the tee boxes did not have adequate grass. Overall, it was a good experience.
Great exec course and a good value.
The new owners are doing an awesome job with this track. I expect as time goes on it will only get better. I think they should look into serving higher quality foods. Possibly partner with a local company to bring in something other than dogs. But I do like what I see and it slowly transformes into a better track. Lastly on 11, I suggested they install a bell at the booth of the cart path. You can't see anyone in the fairway from the tee box because of the elevator hill.
Course being overhauled
The course is in the middle of a major renovation. The chainsaws were not buzzing. The course was not crowded so I played at my pace. The fairways are almost grown in. The greens are at the start of aireation and the the rebuilt traps are now full of sand. The greens mostly rolled smooth and were not all just bumpy. The best feature is the price. Golf Now hot price was $11. The course is not pretty yet but plays very good. High value at these prices.
Don't play here for at least a year
With new ownership came the investment of 1.5 million into the course, which sounds great and will be in about a year. Foxcreek was more concerned with major renovations than providing a quality round of golf. The course was in the worst shape I've ever seen it. Bunkers unattended, construction crew working in middle of your backswing, no cart girl out, greens not blown, you name it and they handed done it because again, concerned more with the major renovations than the details. This course will be nice once all that happens but I would give them at least a year to get their stuff together. Also there were 2 managers in the pro shop when we arrived but they seemed distant or distracted. Didn't say hi to us and actually kind of ignored us. It all was off putting and 8 wouldn't recommend playing here unless spending 15$ or less, otherwise it's just not worth it.
Improving quickly
Fox creek is an executive course with many par 3s and few par 4s. The course is currently under new management, so it is undergoing some changes. Some of the changes are already great, for example the fairways are more lush. The bunkers are currently being redone, but in a few months the course will look great. Just give it time.
Great place for a quick round
This is a par 62 but still challenging. If you don't have 4.5 hours for a round come play here.
Extremely Slow Play
I hadn't played the course for a long time.
The pace of play was terrible. I asked a ranger to help with the beginners in front of us and he basically didn't do anything about the issue. We paid for 18 holes and gave up after 9.
The fairways were weedy and the greens weren't much better.
Solid Executive Course
Solid executive course for the cost. The greens were well maintained. The fairway was slightly long in some areas, but overall, pretty good. The only downside was that some of the tee boxes were miserable. A few had little to no grass and one consisted mostly of sand. The course was a good value and would play again.
Fox Creek March
Beautiful day. Course almost empty after a league finished. In spite of this being late winter the greens roll very well. Very enjoyable round. I pared number 8 which has never been easy for me. Try it you will see. They have very nice new carts and the staff was very helpful.
Jmitch
We waited an hour and fifteen mins. Past our tee time to get a cart which is pretty terrible. However the course was in great shape. I will play it again because it was the day after thanksgiving however it should not be an hour and fifteen min. Wait for a cart when u make a tee time
Short corse
This course is perfect for a quick round of golf. It has many par 3's I think about 10. And one par 5. The par for the corse is 62. Fun little course
Great course
This is a great course to tight up your short game. The greens are in great shape
Great iron course
What a great place to go and work your irons. Play this course once a month and your game will improve. The holes are long enough to challenge you tee shots but offer an excellent opportunity at approach. It's a great value for the money. The staff will treat you better than most courses. You can get in and out in about 3 hours. I passed by this course several times. Once I went in and played, I wished I'd played them sooner.
It's fairly short, fun and a great value. You got to try it. tell them Ed Heck sent you...... Enjoy
After work
Something to do to work in your short game. Small fairways and dry grass with very little break. Good course to walk and work on your irons. Hole 16 you can drive the green
Good for the size and Money!!
I caught a $20 deal. It's an executive course so, mostly par 3's but there are a few holes that are 4's. They keep up the grounds well. Fox and Legacy both have good practice facilities and greens. This is my go to due to the distance from me and the money. I play just about every weekend and the money can add up, so I usually stop by here for one round.
Small course Decent shape tee boxes and greens
Good for a quick round but mostly par 3,s. Not much of a clubhouse. Great to take a child and has good driving range
Great experience
I played this course for the first time in 10 years. The condition of the course was great. The greens had been aerated a few weeks ago, but the grass had already grown in and the greens were in great shape. The course is a great value for the money. The pace of play was a little slow, but we expected that on a Sunday morning in the summer. Great course!
