Keep up the pace people !
Course is in good shape except for the bunkers. The bunkers could use some sand. I was told when I teed off the course was pretty wide open. There was just a few twosomes in front of us. This was true but the twosomes in front of us were playing at an almost 5 hour pace. The ranger on the course did nothing to speed up play. This occurred on a Thursday afternoon. I can only imagine what the pace would be on the weekends with a full tee sheet.

Tough course for intermediate player
The course is beautiful and well maintained. A lot of water around the fairways which is unforgiving to hooks and slices. Be that as it may I would recommend playing around to decide foe yourself. My foursome thoroughly enjoyed our round.

Starters can be a bit pushy..We were 5 min ahead of pace and the guy still said something. Other than that and very limited/mediocre hot food options, this place is a gem.

Great course, but it's early in the season.
Due to some rainy days previous to the round, it was cart path only which nobody likes but necessary to preserve the course.
Hilldale has some of the best greens in the area but they were not up to par for smoothness or speed (very slow).
This was still a challenging course and glad we had to play it.
