Hilldale Golf Club

Definitely could use more ball washers a long the course. Maybe seen 4 all day. It’s too nice of a neighborhood course not to have them. Besides that course was very well kept and greens were fast. Would def play there again.

Our first time playing this course. The conditions were fine considering the chilly weather and recent rains (it was cart path only). The greens rolled smooth and fast which was a pleasant surprise for this time of year. The greens were challenging with their undulations and tiers.

Only 2 issues during our round. One hole the cart shut us down and let us know we were in a restricted area - we were on the cart path next to the tee box. We had to push the carts along the path until the GPS unlocked the carts.

The other issue was the overt racism from the starter. We were paired with 2 Indian gentlemen and they had a minor issue they brought to the starter's attention. He could not grasp what they were asking. Another golfer tried to help but the starter did not get what was going on. After a few minutes, the starter simply said, "do want you want, I don't understand you people anyways." Everybody likes golf. There is no need for this man to be the face of this course.

Other than this guy, the course is really nice and we would go back.

Course is in great shape! Staff are awesome will definitely play this course again!

Played in late December and the course was in better condition than some public courses in the peak of summer. The course is pretty tricky with narrow fairways and lots of doglegs.

I was happy to get an end of sesason round in the Chicago area, anytime in November is a bonus. Staff was friendly and helpful and got right out. Understandbly it was a cart path only day, that slowed my pace as a single. Fairways were great for November, greens were sanded. First time playing there, unusual layout , some holes you feel out in the country, some holes by the highway, some holes in an industrial park.

Still had a great day at Hilldale.

Tale as an old as time. Most courses have a least 1 marshall who is jerk for no reason and Hilldale was no exception. We were right on the tails of the group in front of us all day, but it still wasn’t fast enough for him. Rude, annoying, power hungry old man. I’m not trying to hit up on people while they’re on the green, (which is what he was trying to tell us to do).
