Not worth the price
This is probably the last time I'm playing this course. The last time I played it before Saturday was 5/2022 and it was in bad shape then. Everything is currently being renovated in the clubhouse area with an outdoor check-in and porta potties as bathrooms. $75 for no putting green, zero grass on uneven tee boxes, and the most unsmooth cart path or fairway known to man they need to be focusing on the course not the clubhouse. Place could be awesome as it is challenging with a cool layout, but I have no idea how they can get away charging full price for this course.

Tee boxes need work
I have played this course 20 times at least. This was the absolute worse I’ve seen it. 80% of tee boxes are unusable. 0 grass all dirt. Had a lawnmower follow us on a par 5. Wouldn’t stop mowing for us to tee off. Then he decided to follow us all the way to the hole. Which is extremely annoying. Probably will avoid this course in the near future till they fix the issues.

Making a great comeback
Smoke Rise is making a huge comeback with the recent investments in the last few years. I admit the tee boxes are not up to par but they are currently working on it. Greens roll great and smooth (fast) and fairway is very decent. They are renovating the clubhouse so it feels a little janky right now. Otherwise, give this place a chance and you might love it. I warn you it is not the easiest course and demand exceptional accuracy.
P.S. It feels like golfing in the jungle when playing here.

Poor tee box conditions
To be a private club the condition of the course was poor, green were ok, but the tee boxes were in bad, bad condition no grass at all.

Course great. Tee boxes Under Construction
Aside from about half the tee boxes being dirt, the course played well. Fairways were nice and greens rolled smooth. Some harder than others but made for a challenge to score.

Good layout but very poor shape
Fun, hilly course. Greens were ok, fairways/rough sub par, tee boxes were terrible, zero grass, just dirt.....too bad. Most 4/5 dont require hitting driver. Would come back only if course conditions dramatically improve.

Not as bad as some reviews but,...
Definitely needs work. Not as bad as some reviews IMO. Greens were good, bunkers had plenty of sand, cart paths in trouble, tee boxes nonexistent, fairways ok. Lot of work going on so hopefully better days to come.

Great potential, but a LONG way to go
First time leaving a review here, but this one needs it. I typically think people are little harsh with their reviews on course conditions overall on golfnow, but this course is in BAD shape at the moment. Club house was completely closed for renovations so a register was setup in the cart storage facility. The course layout was solid and there is so much potential for this to be a top notch facility, but sadly it is so far from it at the moment. The fairways were a mess. Weeds, dirt, etc… barely any true patches of fairway to be found. Greens were also in rough shape on several holes. Tee boxes were hideous. Weeds and mushrooms growing all over. The staff informed me when I arrived of the condition and said a lot of work is currently in progress to completely lay new grass, but being out on the course it did not look like this was happening. The staff was great and very friendly, but my goodness does the course have a lot of work to do to get this facility up to par. Likely will not go back for a while unless I hear of considerable improvements.

not what it once was
Lets start off with the good: the pace of place was amazing (even for a weekend) since not a lot of people play due to it's current condition. That was pretty much it for the good. I invited my friends from out of state over to play at this course and I was so ashamed with the condition and overall unfriendliness with the lady checking people in. (seriously, she really needs to go... like it was to the point where I had questions about my higher fee and decided to just ignore them so I don't startle her even more) The course as of May 2023 is in atrocious condition. I cannot fathom how they are going to fix this problem in short term. It's definitely staying off of my list of courses to play and I will be warning my peers about it as well.

Bad Experience
This place is in bad shape. Hardly any grass on tee boxes or fairways. Expected so much better for the price you have to pay to play. I will not be back.
