Pace of play/greens
Most of the greens needs some help. At least put the hole where grass is not weeds/dead grass. And advise members to let faster players thru. Was held up by 2 foursome who wouldn’t let us play thru. Hire a Marshall.

Not sure about all the hate
the course really was not as bad as some of these golfnow reviews would have you believe. Tee boxes and bunkers were both in progress, but the course was challenging and fun, and lots of altitude changes. would recommend, especially at the current prices

Smoke rise
Very nice greens, not busy at all, challenging and creative layout, only criticism is that there was not much to buy in terms of beverages at the pro shop, nor was there a cart girl. Also sand traps had not all been tended to , most hadn’t even. Only a coupon were filled, but overall this was a positive experience and I’d definitely come back

Course is under a lot of maintenance. Greens needs a lot of work. Nice layout and super friendly staff.

Needs some TLC
I have played here a few times over the years. Seems to be steadily declining. Certainly has the bones to be a great track but the course has gotten away from the staff. The fairway “bunkers” could provide you great shelter from enemy fire should a war arise but do yourself and your club a favor and don’t hit from them as they are mostly cement with more plants than sand. I could see the green side bunkers were being worked on which is nice (granted random mounds of sand were left in them all day on a Saturday). Tee boxes are bare and need work, also it would help moving tee markers frequently to disperse usage. Lastly the greens. They were hit or miss or speed and conditions. For the most part they need to be grown out and watered more frequently as it’s usually very bare and cracked which creates erratic movement. Course played very fast in general as there was nothing to stop the ball between the bare fairways, bare greens, cement bunkers and totaled jacked up cart paths. Could justify getting $35 on a weekend out here but $50+ is extreme given the conditions and it seems that money isn’t going into the course at all.

Getting Better
Course is in Fair to OK condition fairways getting weedy, they are improving the bunkers. 1/2 the tee boxes have grass , greens slow but pretty good overall. 14 Blind tee shots set up for good position golf challenge and good mix of yardages with choice of tee boxes.

Lost the greens
Greens are burned and sanded, that used to be the best part about the course -
FYI , I did not have a hot deal
My playing partner upon arrival was harassed by the Marshall/starter , completely unnecessary attitude and communication tone, my friend and I are East lake caddies - we understands exactly how costumers are supposed to be treated when arriving at a course.
Later , the same starter did absolutely nothing to help the pace of play on the course. Maintenance workers on almost every hole
Sand on every green , chemicals on the ball /shoes , golfers should be warned about the condition of this course and how they treat others in the golf business
Awful clubhouse and front 9 experience

Avoid
I should have know on the first hole that things were bad. Hit a ball onto the green and here comes a John Deere gator onto the green and sprays the entire green with sand...before we even finished the hole. Not sure I've ever seen a course look this bad. Cart paths are dangerous, tee boxes are a wreck, weeds everywhere. Clearly they have money issues. I'd be surprised if they are open in 6 months.

Course needs lots of work. Tee boxes are bare, traps overgrown. Greens are very patchy and slow.

First time at the course. Value for the money was there, but course was not in great condition. Even though it was not that crowded, our round still came out to be 5+ hours. I would come back however
