The course was closed for weather. Please refund all the fees you have charged me on this booking.

Charged me $40 more than the app told me I had to pay even after showing them the price the app said I have to pay they didn't care and were not willing to work with me.

The course was in great condition for fall, but the pace of play was horrible. It took 5 hours 45 minutes to play 18 holes, we were waiting to hit every single shot. We never saw a marshal once. They have signs everywhere asking you to schedule a membership tour, but I can't imagine paying money to join a club where a round takes nearly 6 hours.

Course just received brand new golf carts with GPS and Music. The only downside of these new carts is they shut off if you go over 8 mph in certain areas and then they restart automatically.

Greens rolling true and fast with no dye on them

Only complaint - Tee boxes need help and have minimal grass. Bunkers could use some help, but I manage to keep my ball away from them anyways.

Great course overall

Course is still in rough shape, but improving. Greens are good. Biggest problem this round was the cart that we were in. Steering was messed up and evidently our cart was set up for cart paths only, If we went into any of the fairways, the cart would shut down and we had to slowly back up until it worked again. Turns out that our cart was the only one set up like this...other golfers in carts were all over the course.

The course was not perfect, but the greens were in great shape, with the exception of a couple that had sandy spots. Fairways were fine with few bad spots. Tee boxes need work. Overall, a good time and a great deal on GolfNow.

After reading the reviews of this course over the past few years, there were several negative comments that kept me away. However, more recently, the reviews have been trending better so I decided to check the course out. Overall, I enjoyed the round. It’s a course of angles and placement, especially on the front nine, but there are also holes that allow you to let it fly. The check-in was quick and the gentleman behind the counter was helpful to show me the way. Conditions were generally above average. Fairways and greens were good. Some tees were a little rough. Some areas toward the edges of the fairways did not have grass. I wasn’t sure if that was washout from recent storms or a result of not having a clear entrance and exit point. Carts were higher end with upgraded seats and GPS. My sense is that things are improving at Smoke Rise and hopefully that trend will continue.

Would've had a better experience if I didn't get bottleneck on the back nine.

Due to a Junior PGA event in the morning, our tee time was slightly delayed, but we seemed to be the only ones on the course after the event, so pace of play was great, especially on the back 9. With the exception of a few tee boxes and a rare patch on the edge of a couple of greens, the course is in great condition -- especially since it seems like it hasn't rained since September. A somewhat challenging but really fun track at a very reasonable price.

The last time I played here was several years ago. The conditions were such that my father and I vowed not to go back. I'm happy to say that the recent improvements have made a big difference.

They now have a nice clubhouse, which was basically abandoned last time.

They were just finishing up with a PGA Junior event and were low on carts. While it unfortunately caused a delay in our tee time, the staff were very nice and got things moving as quickly as possible.

Course conditions were decent, with a few dirt patches on some fairways and a few greens with some issues. Mostly, the greens were nice and rolled extremely well.

This is a challenging course, with very narrow fairways and plenty of trouble to get into. Personally, I enjoy that kind of challenge.

The overall area is beautiful. Lovely scenery. I look forward to playing there again as conditions are further improved.
