Tees burnt out and extremely hard. Fairways had incredible amounts of roll with tee shots bouncing and rolling even on uphill fairways. Greens spongy and shaggy - slowest I have ever played. Not worth the money with these conditions. Overall just unkept.

This is a good, challenging course. A lot of hills and blind greens. The Bermuda greens gets challenging also. Good value.

The only thing holding this course back are the greens. They were in very bad shape.

The "short rough" on most holes has grass and weeds over 1 foot deep. Your ball goes in and is gone forever...

Layout was challenging yet fun to play. Many areas of the course are in need of some TLC. Much like the other reviews, most the greens have not recovered from the aeration. The greens on the back seemed to be in a little better shape than the front but all in all the course has the right “bone” structure just needs some help to grow!

Staff has worked to improve the course but the greens are struggling to come back from a hard punching 6 weeks ago, as a friend said,” it’s like putting on Velcro!” Hopefully they’ll improve in a. By August

Fairways in better shape than other reviews. Greens were horrible, very bumpy, and ridges from when they aerated, you could still see where the aerator punched holes. Mos to the bunkers were the worst I have ever seen, there was standing water in most of them, and no sand just rocks and red Georgia clay. Tee boxes in fairly good shape. Pace of play was okay. There was a lot of deep grass just off the fairway where we should have been able to find the ball but couldn't due to foot deep grass. If they cut that grass down and start cutting down the green to make it less bumpy, I would consider this course again as I have played it in the past but it was in MUCH better shape than this time. I'll play other courses in the area that are in better shape and same value for my money. I just can't suggest playing this course right now.

Challenging course, lots of doglegs, obstructed green views, narrow fairways and hilly. Totally lives up to its reputation on being a shot makers course. If you are not a consistent shot maker you will struggle. Rough was very deep punishing any shots not landing in the fairway.

Friday afternoon and the course was crowded.

Loved this course. Lots of challenging holes and scenic views. Course condition was fantastic with the exception of the greens being very bouncy and slow.. They had been aerated and top dressed a while ago but were ridged and bumpy. Driving range is mats only. Overall a great course! I wish I lived closer because I would like to play this course more.

This was the worst course that I have ever played. We played on 4th of July through Golf Now. Course was mostly a cow pasture with fairways looking like they were uncut for weeks and terrible greens. None of the staff, other than starter, were pleasant. . The guy in the pro shop was very unfriendly, like he did not want to be there. We asked if the keys were in cart, and he snapped at us that we would be given keys to cart by starter only, when we were ready to start. I never heard of this before. We went to driving range, carrying heavy bags. Although we have not had rain for several days, grass tees were closed. The range had the worst mat that I have ever seen. It was a single mat, about 30 ft long with a 1/4 inch of felt on top of concrete. Placed on the mat, the ball rolled, because the land was sloped. Once you stopped it, and one swing and my hand was hurt. After playing, one of our group tried to get something cold to drink, as it was the hottest day of the year. It was just after 6 PM, and the server in the dining room said that she had closed the bar at 6 PM, so he could not have a water or sports drink. There were still two hours of daylight, and dozens of cars in the parking lot.. She wanted to go home also. We would not go there again even, if it were free.

The first impression you get is a very sour, almost belligerent check in person.

The layout has many blind shots. They could use signs to guide players where to go to the next hole. There are quite a few forks in the road.

3 of us were not impressed.

I should say I won't return. And that's after redeeming free credits.

The greens were terrible. Super long grass, and just didn’t seem to be well maintained. There are so many blind spots on this course which I didn’t like.

Sugarhill is one of my favorite courses that I ever play, but today I was disappointed… I got there a bit early as I usually do… Being ex military, I always arrive early for everything… Also, I understand the policy of using Golf now at most courses, and I’m willing to wait until the proper time… However, after checking in And being told again about the policy, I was loaded up and ready to go and nobody was teeing off for more than 30 minutes... I was told that I could pay an additional $10 to go off at that time… I refused… I am a regular customer at Sugar Hill and should have been allowed to start regardless of the rules with Golf now… I did not argue, but I am very disappointed by this treatment.
