About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Play elsewhere. Save your money.
This might be the worst course I’ve ever played. The superintendent should be ashamed. Had an 8:00am tee time and don’t think I saw a single person working on the conditions. The bunkers were either filled with water or rocks and weeds. We paid $52 to play and it wasn’t worth mini-golf rates. Play somewhere else or save your money. The pace of play was great because the course had hardly anyone on it. Now I know why.

No rule inforcement
they let a group of 5 young kids play the course blaring a radio and hitting balls into other players.

Great Place
Fun course and convenient location to South Forsyth County, Lake Lanier and NE Atlanta.
Lots of holes are long enough to challenge your fairway woods and iron skills. If you can get 200+ yds off the tee you will have choices to make in approaching the greens.
Lots of scenery & wildlife to see, restaurants bars, all nearby. gret place to take your kids or grandkids for a round.
