Sugar Hill Golf Club
About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Sugar hill
I wish one time when I play this course your greens would actually be decent. I’ve played here 4 times this year every time something with the greens. I think I won’t be back now. Tired of bad putting conditions
Very nice course. The tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. The only problem is pace of play The Marshall didn't come around not even one time to speed it up.
Nice course conditions.
Green grass everywhere, greens are not slow, very scenic, no houses on course, rough is tall, overall nice course for the price. They won’t let anyone ride without paying full price, and no riders if there’s a foursome of players.
Good Value-Great Shape-Medium Difficulty
Title says it all. Recommend the course, be ready for some exercise with the elevation changes. Challenging and not bank breaking. Recommend.
Nice views
Sugar Hill is a fun course to play. Nice views, hilly, good program on carts. The starter and ranger were gruff, but I’ll give them a break as it was really hot and uncomfortable.
Good value near Suwanee
This was my 2nd time to play Sugar Hill. My first time to play was Monday. Monday went off at 9:40 am., and we were always ahead on pace of play. Very nice to not wait. The carts have GPS and let you know how you are doing on pace of play.
The people were great both days. Starters, golf shop personnel, and grill person. Kind and very helpful.
Friday went off at 9:20 am. Was with a twosome behind some foursomes. Pace of play was as bad as 13 minutes behind. The group in front of us had a guy who struggled and looked for a ball on most holes. Nice guys, bad golf day.
I would give Sugar Hill an overall 3.5 stars. I can get a deal 18 holes of golf with cart included for about $40. Sign me up. The course is challenging with many elevation changes. Nice fairways and greens. Need to be a longer hitter for a woman to clear so uphill carry (200 yd) from gold tees.
They need a combo tee rating with red & gold. Huge difference in rating/slope between red and gold. If you want a great value for your money, Sugar Hill is it! Just know Friday is more crowded, and Mon to Thur you can cruise through.
Much improved since last time
Course is in great condition for the most part. Greens were good and the Tee boxes in decent shape.
