About
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Highland Course at Lake Arrowhead weaves through rolling woodlands. Every hole offers unique scenery and stunning mountain views. The golf course was completely redesigned in 2008, which makes it one of Atlanta's younger courses; nevertheless it has quickly garnered a strong following amongst locals thanks to not only the challenging layout but also the affordable rates and beautiful setting. Lake Arrowhead's convenient location makes it even more appealing, it sits less than an hour north of Atlanta. The golf course features strategically placed bunkers and plenty of trees. It is a layout that requires careful course management. The 14th hole is arguably the most difficult. This tricky par 5 is known to test even the most skilled players.

Amazing course!
Played my second game of golf ever at this course with a more experienced friend. This course is HARD but it is worth the challenge! Beautiful views, lots of wildlife, all the employees were very kind and helpful. We will be back on a regular basis for sure!
Lake Arrowhead
The course was in great shape all around. It had incredible views, and a lot of wildlife to see.
It is not for the high handicapped as there is trouble that will pull your golf balls in.
A lower handicap would appreciate the different contorts and waste areas.

Great Place for Golf
Course is in great shape. Greens and Fairways as well as roughs are really in great shape. The tees are pretty good but not as good as the rest of the course. This is a tough course for the inaccurate golfer. But, the holes are fun. Expect to lose balls! We were paired with 2 really nice guys that enhanced our experience. Too many hills to walk this course. Have played several times but my guest had never played here before. I will definitely come back.

Love the area and the course
The course is, as usual, beautiful. The one thing, especially this time, is the greens were slower than molasses on a winter day. I was on 10 or 11, for example, and was putting above the hole on a downslope...a fairly steep hill and granted I tapped it thinking the hill would take it...and it literally stopped on the downslope of the hill. That was a first, never seen a put stop on the downslope. I am not asking for US Open speeds, but that is a bit ridiculous for that too happen. Other than that I love the course and the beauty of it.

Gem in Waleska
I played Lake Arrowhead a couple of years back and remember being frustrated at the difficulty of the track. I decided to go back because we've moved closer. Glad I did. Everyone was super friendly and I have to shout out Randy the starter. He gave me some great advice at the outset that made my round way more enjoyable. Pace was great as I played in right at 3 hours. It was a Thursday, but I'll take 3 hours any day. Greens were in fantastic shape. If you live close and enjoy golf with some elevation changes, check out Lake Arrowhead.

Great condition
Had a good time playing this course. Tee boxes fairways and greens are in very good condition. Some quirky holes out there but it keeps it interesting. The greens are in very good condition and the pace of play was good .Did not see a ranger or cart girl all day but there is water coolers on some of the holes..Staff is very good and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nice and quite place to play. All natural view and animal around. Deer, rabbit, and others. Fresh air and clean view

Awesome Golf Course!
Beautiful views, amazing course, and even better are the people working there. The Marshall rode by many times just to ask if everything was good and that if we needed anything, I mean who does this anymore?? Overall, the golf course is just beautiful and would play then again and again.

Crazy, horrible setup for a golf course
Totally ridiculous course!! Horrible. Paid for 18 stopped after 0 because it was no fun. Never been on a course that played so crazy unfair. Horrible experience.

Super fun round
Challenging course. Good condition with one exception, and it's really on the golfers, fix your divots on the greens. I repaired 3 or 4 divots per green.

5 hour round. Sat on the tee box from 9th hole to 18th hole waiting to tee off with and the group behind us waiting for us to tee off. 3 groups on one hole. Not sure what was going on but I’ve never wanted a round to end faster. Brother and father were up from Florida to play for the weekend. Due to pace it was not enjoyable.
